We Sold Another 'Kyle XY' Promo Comic This Morning!
Which reminded me that the new season of Kyle XY has started! There are so few shows on right now that we watch, that it is hard to remember the few that are on... besides 'Lost'!! We discovered the Kyle XY show at the 2007 San Diego Comic Con International and quickly caught up to it by renting the DVDs and seeing some online. The show returned to the ABC Family channel January 14th, 2008 and is scheduled for 10 new shows for this Season 2.5 (3?). Just click the following link for 'Our Take' on the show's first season. Also if you don't have the promo comic yet, click on the top left photo to get your copy for approx $1.00 plus shipping! Thanks for reading our pop culture - comics - comic book blog post!

And Where's Her Comic Book Movie??? Seems she should get one before some of these other ones in developement! Especially after what Tina and I saw of the upcoming 2008 'Hulk' Movie at the SDCC program in July of 2007! Click Here to see Tina's 'Take' on that preview program! OK, we have posted before that in the late 1980s, Marvel Comics approached Brigitte Nielsen to pose for photographs dressed as the comic book character She-Hulk. Brigitte had previously impressed the company with her prior portrayal of their character Red Sonja and accordingly they hoped she would prove just as successful in a new movie venture. Unfortunately the photos that were produced did not enlicit a large amount of investors in the potential film and Marvel was forced to scrap the project. The top left photo is one that I recently found while looking at Marvel's upcoming films for 2008 - 2009. The third photo in the left column shows Brigitte modelling a skimpy outfit and I 'photoshopped' the photo to reflect a greenish hue about her, as the She-Hulk is green like her cousin the Incredible Hulk! You can see that Brigitte definitely had the body double of the She-Hulk at that time! There are very few pics of Brigitte dressed as the She-Hulk, with the one to at the second left being one of those. As you can see by comparing the three aforementioned photos, Brigitte would have come across very well as the She-Hulk, alter ego of Jennifer Walters, who is a lawyer in her day job. Since I first blogged about this previous non-movie that was never made, there has been renewed interest in our previous She-Hulk Movie blog posts. Thus this reposting with the new photo found! We still have several She-Hulk comics, from the 1980's to the 2000's series. Just click on the photos to the left column to see the listings! I personally enjoyed the second comics series, which had John Byrne write and pencil the series, where She-Hulk would break the 'fourth wall' and talk to readers of the comics, knowing that she was in a comic book with her adventures being told. Kind of a strange humour book, but when reading the comic it makes more sense... That wraps it up for this blog post... But I wanna see She-Hulk in a movie, not her less 'incredible' Hulk cousin's next movie! Thanks for reading this popular culture - comics - comic books blog post! Michael |
