Iron Man Versus Speed Racer!
No Contest! Box Office Results In!
Was having breakfast with Tina before she heads off for another project. We saw that Iron Man's 2nd weekend gross ticket sales versus Speed Racer's opening debut weekend was shown on our local TV news. The Iron Man flick did more than twice the amount of Speed Racer's debut! $50.5 Million versus $20.21 Million! (BTW, Jackie Chan's Hidden Kingdom is hanging in at #8 position!) We have both reviewed the Iron Man film, without spoilers at: and We have not seen the Speed Racer Film yet, as this Mother's Day weekend was a busy one for us. Additionally since neither Tina nor myself were into the Speed Racer Cartoons on TV, she really isn't overly excited about going. So either I will go with my youngest son later, or wait for the DVD. The CGI of the teaser trailers look good, and are probably better on the Big Screen. Neither one of us want to miss the Opening Weekend for the new Indiana Jones Film that is out in two weeks, so we may not make Speed Racer! Congrats to the Iron Man Film cast and crew, now with over $342 Million Dollars Gross World Wide!
