New To The Works Of Jack Kirby?

Then Take A Look At 'The Jack Kirby Collector'!

Yesterday I blogged about seeing Joe Ruby and Ken Spears at the July 2008 SDCC - San Diego Comic Con International.

I was blogging about Jack's years at Ruby-Spears Productions where he came up with many concepts, several of which made it to animated shows being aired on TV.

The responses and emails about the blog post ran from "Thanks for blogging about Jack", to "I didn't know that about Kirby", to "How do you find out more about what Kirby?".

One of the great publications that is still being published is the 'Jack Kirby Collector', published by TwoMorrows Publishing.

I was an early subscriber to this magazine, and added those issues to my own personal Kirby Collection.

For those of you that want to know more about Jack Kirby, and can't attend the Annual Jack Kirby Tribute at the SD Comic Con, this publication is a great way of reading about the different periods in Jack's life.

The publisher has the latest issues in stock at their web site.

For those that just want to read the OOP, (Out of Print), issues of the magazine, (not collect), The earliest issues have been compiled into 'The Collected Jack Kirby Collector' TPB format.

The earliest issues are OOP and have to be purchased on the resale market. If you cannot find them at your regular shop, my wife and I have several copies of these in our online store.

There should not be any reason to miss any previously published issue, either in original format or collected (reprinted) format, thanks to the publisher's efforts to keep them in print!
