The NYCC Runs February 6th, 7th & 8th, 2009! Dave Gordon... Says that he doesn't have a table for the upcoming NYCC event, but he, (left in photo), and writing partner Mark Derwin (right in photo), will be "hitting the floor with both barrels loaded in promotion of 'Being Gordy', their upcoming Graphic Novel! I 'met' Dave via Facebook where Dave has a 'Being Gordy' group page. Between that group page and their own web site, they are averaging 500 hits a week, and 50-70 entries per week in their caption-writing contest on Facebook. Dave says the "new preview edition to the forthcoming graphic novel is hot off the press. Anyone interested just has to track us down on the convention floor". If you are a Facebook member, be sure to join the 'Being Gordy' group page at: www.facebook.com/pages/Being-Gordy/31608219603?ref=s You can also check out their web site at: Oh... and what exactly is 'Being Gordy'? Well Dave puts it this way: "Think 'sitcom-as-graphic-novel'... that’s what you’ll get from Being Gordy". Dave also says 'Being Gordy' the graphic novel will be landing on the shelf in your nearest bookstore in 2010. Dave Gordon and Mark Derwin are just two of several creators / celebrities / exhibitors that will be at this upcoming con.
