a-okTopic: Comic Book Artists
I 'joined' Anthony D Lee's... Facebook Comic Con Artist's Table during the Gala Premiere of that virtual con. At the same time I signed up for a 'Free Sketch' to be drawn by Anthony as he was promoting his table at the new con. Of course my first choice would be 'The Thing', one of the members of the Fantastic Four from Marvel Comics, if Anthony was willing to draw the character! Note: Because of the Thing's 'rocky' body, it takes additional time to draw. Well... he was, and the above sketch is one I wanted to share with everyone here on my Blog! I am going to prize this as much as when I had Joe Sinnott sign my issue of Fantastic Four #95 with a full page panel of the Thing holding up a building on his back! Why did I have Joe sign that issue? Well, he once said at a panel I was atttending, that the full page panel on page 8 of that issue was his favorite inking job on the Thing over Jack Kirby's pencils! Actually, the sketch that Anthony drew for me is just one of fiveteen sketches he has drawn so far for FBCC attendees that signed up at his table!
