TODAY'S FEATURE - Blog #3136:

I'm taking a break this morning from blogging about comic-cons or doing reviews, although this blog is a bit of both in a way...

That's because I met Marco Davanzo at his booth during the recent 2010 Wizard World Anaheim Comic Con, as seen in the above right photo.

In the photo, Marco is shown holding a book.  One that he gave me...Not for review, but to show me that his LCBS had celebrated 10 Years of being open in Orange County, California during the month of January of 2009.  In today's retail world, that is quite an accomplishment! Congrats to Marco and all of those that have helped Alakazam! to reach that milestone!

As for the 10 year celebration book, I mention it here today, because Marco still has a few for those of YOU that have been a customer in the past and weren't aware of last year's celbration book, AND that he could send it out in the mail to you. More on that in a few moments.

I read the whole book, cover to cover, and really enjoyed reading about Alakazam's "Not So Secret Origin" chapter that started on page 8 of the book.  That's because I have been a customer in the past on occasion when I was on buying trips in the Orange County area.

Other chapters included:  Manager's Salutation, Submissions from Fans, Youth Entries, Convention Sketches, Store History, and even an index of contributors!

This is a full sized, 134 paged celebration book, and it is definitely is something to be proud of, as well as reaching the 10th Year Anniversary!

Again, Congrats to Alakazam!

You can email Marco at:  ALAKAZAMCOMICS@aol.com to see what it would cost to ship you a copy of the book.

Also, Alakazam! has a Facebook Fan Page as seen by clicking this link.

My thanks to Marco for bringing this event and the celebratory book to my attention!

AND My Thanks again to all of YOU reading today's post and our archived blog posts, now totalling over 3,131 total entries in number!
