Michael D Hamersky On Comics Presents Some Thoughts On:
Santa's Village
The First Franchised Theme Parks In The World!

TODAY'S FEATURE IS BLOG #3669 - A while back I posted a link to the Santa's Village web site, (as seen here), at my Facebook Personal Page.

That's because it was December 26th of 2011, and I was busy celebrating the Holiday Season!

What got me to post the link to the web site, is that the last Santa's Village had closed back in 1998, and I wasn't aware that the web site was in existence!

Plus, it appears that the Santa's Villages (all 3 of them!) have been remembered by many others. So there is a web site, and a Facebook Fan Page as well now!

To the left is a photo of my little brother, Francis (aka Frank), and myself in 1959 at the Skyforest Santa's Village.

I remember the few times that my folks took us there, and I followed up with taking my children there in the 1980s and later, up till it closed in 1998.

This was actually a fun place to go to, but we usually only went during the Holidays Season.

Also, there is a Facebook Fan Page for Santa's Village that was located in Skyforest, California. Here is the link to that Fan Page!

Also, here is a link to the book "Santa's Village" that you can purchase. Please note that is on the history of the Dundee, Illinois location:  Santa's Village (Images of America: Illinois)!

In addition, although there aren't any Santa's Villages comic books... There are several Santa Claus stories in comics, as seen at this link!

And yes, I know that it isn't July (Christmas in July!), but I wanted to share the above with you via my Blog!
