TODAY'S FEATURE IS BLOG #3894 - My wife, Tina LoSasso, reminded me yesterday afternoon that today would be the Anniversary of the first episode of one of her favorite TV shows from her childhood... 'Dark Shadows'! Actually it is the 47th Anniversary of that first showing on TV! Well... I had to post a rememberance blog of the TV show, and of course a link to the comic books that were based on the TV Show! Quite honestly, I didn't get into this show. I was 13 going on 14 at the time, and watching TV in the afternoon wasn't something that I or my brother or sister did. However, I did pick up some of the comic books later on. The comics ran for 35 issues, from March of 1969 to February of 1976. They were published by Gold Key Comics (Western Publishing). One of those issues is shown at the top right of this blog post. Here is a link to the Wikipedia entry for the Dark Shadows property. With over 1200 episodes aired, I'm sure that many people have different recollections of the TV series. Heck, Barnabas Collins didn't even appear until episode 210! Anyways, Happy 47th Anniversary to the 'Dark Shadows' TV series!
