TODAY'S FEATURE - Blog #3171: Whereas many, (most?), of the Press were centering on Megan Fox, as shown to the left, at the Jonah Hex Film Premiere last week...
I'm blogging today about Tony DeZuniga, his wife Tina, and select family members who attended the same premiere. If you're new to the Jonah Hex mythos, you may not be aware that Tony DeZuniga, pictured above in the photos at the top of this blog, was the artist who co-created and first illustrated Jonah Hex. Thus it was with great pleasure that I viewed the above photos from the Red Carpet at his and his nephew's Facebook Pages and requested permission to republish them here today! It makes me feel good to see a long time comic book illustrator be recognized as a co-creator in public. Especially one who labored for so long in the business. Congrats Tony! If YOU are able to see Tony & Tina at any upcoming comic book or pop culture conventions, like my own Tina & I have, at the Long Beach Comic Con, Long Beach Comic Expo, and Wizard World Anaheim Comic Con, so far this year, stop by and say hello to them! (NOTE: My understanding as of this blog post is that they won't be at the 2010 Comic Con International: San Diego (San Diego Comic Con).) My thanks to Christopher Mark Vicente, Tony & Tina DeZuniga for the use of the photos! For earlier blog posts / photos on Tony and / or Tina DeZuniga, please see the following blogs: Tony & Tina & Michael D Hamersky at 2010 Long Beach Comic Expo. Check Out More Of Our Own Endeavors: Yeah, that's me in the photo shown to the left, taken at the 1973 San Diego Comic Con at the Sheraton Hotel at Harbor Island in San Diego!
I first set up as a 'dealer' at the 1972 SDCC at the El Cortez Hotel. So I've been around comic conventions for a little while, LOL! Tina and I now have an on-line exhibitor table at the first "virtual" comic con titled the "Facebook Comic Con" (FBCC)! You can view our table and interact with us there on Facebook by clicking this link. So if YOU are a Facebook member, please 'join' our Facebook Comic Con - Make It So Marketing exhibitor table for updates, specials, links to this blog, and other wall comments that we post every day! Also, if you are a Facebook member and would like to join my Facebook Network, feel free to send a 'friend request' to 'Michael D Hamersky'. -------------------
Talking about comics: if YOU are a comics creator, (writer, penciler, inker, colorist, letterer, etc.), OR even a Comics / Magazine Publisher, feel free to contact me regarding YOUR works for a possible mention / review!
I've made a special blog post about: "How To Best Submit YOUR Publication For Possible Review!" for those creators / publishers that would like to possibly have their publications mentioned or reviewed.
