Desperate

Housewives

That Is !!

The latest publicity stills for the New Season are out, which reminded me that this is one of the few non-sci-fi shows that we will be watching this New Fall Season!

However, what still amazes me is that the Show tries to sell 'The Sizzle' of the women that are the headliners, yet haven't delivered that 'Sizzle' since the First Season IMHO.

True, the Third Season picked up nicely story wise, but we watch it for more than 'The Sizzle' that the latest publicity stills feature.

Hopefully the storyline continues to improve this season, as it did in the Third Season.

The main reason I started watching this show was that I wanted to see how Teri Hatcher would do in it.

I first noticed Teri Hatcher as the girlfriend of Dr Sam Beckett, (Scott Bakula), in an early 1989 episode of Quantum Leap, the TV Show Series.

By the time Quantum Leap needed her back for the Donna Eleese role, Teri had gone on to playing Katherine 'Kiki" Tango in the TV series 'Tango & Cash'.

She went on to play Lois Lane in the TV series 'Lois and Clark, the New Adventures of Superman'.

Today of course we all know her as playing 'Susan' in the hit TV show 'Desperate Housewives' !

The first season of 'Desperate Housewives' was great. Tina and I have both watched it from the first show till last year's Season Finale. The Second Season didn't disuade us from watching it, but it just wasn't the same. We will be there to watch the Fourth Season's Opener... just that we don't post 'Our Take' on it as much as other shows that fit our sales niche...

For those interested in TV Show comic books, we carry those in our eBay Featured Comics Store

For those interested in a Lois Lane comic book, just click on the picture of Teri as Lois Lane to the left!

COMICS INTERVIEW

Will Have It !

We have listed several more 'Comics Interview' magazines in our eBay Featured Store!

This highly regarded magazine about comics creators was edited and published by David Anthony Kraft.

The magazine lasted many years and was an informative in-depth magazine with multiple articles in each and every issue.

Some issues would have a theme such as the one to the right, where the theme was on 'Robotech'!

Other issues would be on Star Trek, major Marvel Comics super-heroes, major DC Comics superheroes, Silver Age Creators, or independent comics creators.

Some of my favorite articles would be on the comic book originators from the 1930's to 1960's. Those were fun reads!

Just click on the magazine cover on the top right to see what issues of 'Comics Interview' we currently have in stock!

Signed Comics By Artists and Writers !
Mood:  a-ok
Topic: eBay Info

Yes, We STILL Have a Few Left!

We have just a few signed comic books left in our eBay Featured Store!

Currently we have some signed by Gil Kane, Len Wein, Alex Ross, Jackson Guice, Sal Buscema, Brinke Stevens, Synn, Fabian Nicieza and more!

These comics were mostly autographed at the SDCC - San Diego Comic Con International, Wonder Con in Oakland, or the LA Sci-Fi Comic Book Conventions during the years.

We have sold out on  'Jack Kirby'  signed comics.

We have just a few Stan Lee signed comics which are being kept at this time... we have sold some nice copies like the Strange Tales Annual #2 to the right on occasion.

Take a look at the second photo to the  right. That was Stan signing The Strange Tales Annual and a reading copy of Fantastic Four #1 for me several years ago.

Just click on the Strange Tales Annual cover on the top right to see what signed comics we currently have in stock!

Thanks for reading our pop culture - comics - comic books blog post and feel free to comment below about any collectibles you have had signed!

Pics and Promos From 'Heroes' Panel At Comic Con!

'Heroes' TV Show

Exclusives & Promo Items

From the SDCC Comic Con!

Previously we have blogged about selling the last of the unslabbed Heroes SDCC Exclusive Comic Books, (pictured below), for $49.99 to an eBayer in the United Kingdom!

We Have SDCC Exclusives and Promo items from the 2007 SDCC in our eBay Store!

We did say at the time that we were also waiting to have several of the above same promotional comics be third party graded by CGC!  The company has them and they have been verified as being received and are in process of being graded.

So far on eBay they only show one up for sale by our competitors with a 9.8 grade and they are asking $699.00 for it with a 'Best Offer' option! They had the first CGC Graded copy listed at 9.8 on eBay which has not sold yet...

However one CGC graded issue just closed on auction format for $82.99 on September 9th with 8 bids from 5 bidders! So this will be a hot item!

Hopefully we will have them back in time for the New Season Premiere of the show!

You can check this blog for updates if you are interested in obtaining one of these rare promotional items for yourself!
