I think she has a touch of motion sickness, by the pained expression on her face!

Jack Kirby's KAMANDI

Was His Glimpse Into A Possible Future For Mankind !

However, if you were to think that Jack Kirby was copying the movie, he actually had drawn a similiar theme in a comic book story in 'Alarming Tales' #1 back in September 1957.

In that comic book Jack drew a story entitled "The Last Enemy." In the story, he has a man traveling in time to the year 2514, where he finds that humans are extinct! That time traveler finds that the world is ruled by tribes of intelligent tigers, dogs, and rats!

Jack's drawings of these intelligent animals are very much similar to his later drawings in Kamandi 15 years later.

This series was one of the last that Jack Kirby wrote and drew for DC Comics before going back to Marvel Comics.

'Time For Dark Shadows?'

Or Some Other Bite To Read??

Couldn't pass that pun up today!  (Haven't had lunch yet!)

Tina and I have watched a Dark Shadows History DVD this week, and we have the Dark Shadows Reunion DVD enroute to us now!

Tina used to sneak out to her friend's house to catch the show in the afternnon when she was a schoolgirl, whereas I never really watched that show, as it was verboten in my folks' household!

So I would do my homework, read a comic or two, and then check out some cool prime time shows like 'Get Smart', Man From U.NC.L.E., 'Green Hornet', 'Batman' and the like!

So now I'm catching up a little on what I missed on DVD with Tina, who is enjoying seeing the characters after all these years!!
