This Movie Was Previewed At The SDCC Comic Con By Tina

If you're a fan of these children's books, the movie looks terrific!

Paramount Pictures previewed a trailer at San Diego Comic Con. What an adventure, what a magical world, what a terrific production!

Unfortunately, the creators also showed us, in painstaking detail, how the creatures were created and the action filmed. YAWN.........

It made for some very boring background on a what looks to be an exciting movie.

As the director explained, they hope the Spiderwick Chronicles movie will do for fairies and goblins what Jurassic Park did for dinosaurs!

The movie is set for release in 2008.

This Issue Is One That Tina Won't Pass Up When We See It In The Back Issue Bins!

Just Listed It This Week For The First Time!

It is the last issue of the series that DC Comics published!

Issue #1 of this series started August / September of 1950 and this final issue was the September / October 1973 issues.

Since we are the proud owners of the smartest parakeet I've ever had, this comic book cover is hilarious to us!!

Tina can't stop laughing whenever she see it in back issues bins, and usually a copy or two ends up in our 'buy' stack. Funny thing is, we've sold multiple copies of this comic to parakeet lovers over the years!!

I Can Tell By The Number Of Views Our Previous Blog Posts On JERICHO Are Receiving!

Yes, I do check our blog stats, which helps me keep a pulse on what's popular that we've blogged about in the past year.

Jericho, the TV Show was renewed, and the cast and crew gratefully thanked the audience at the San Diego Comic Con for helping get renewed!

Our blog post on the Season Finale keeps getting viewed on a regular basis, which leads me to believe that the viewers are getting antsy to watch the upcoming season!

Unfortunately we have a ways to go before it come back on!

Talking Gorillas Are Collected As A Sub-Genre In Comic Book Collecting!

I have previously blogged about the fact that DC Comics found that placing a gorilla on a cover sold more copies of a comic book issue for them!

When making that gorilla 'talk' on the cover, it added even more sales!

Well it didn't take long before talking gorillas were the fad for DC and other imitators!

There are enough of those 'talking gorilla' covers for comic book collectors to make a small collection of.

And then THEY will be the 'talk of the town'!
