Saloon / Dance Hall Girls!

Was flipping through the channels last night as our regular programming had gone to re-runs!

Looks like we'll have to go back to our DVD rental service if this WGA Strike continues long enough!

Anyways... was flipping through with the remote when I came across the old black and white movie, 'My Darling Clementine' which was already in progress.

This is  where Doc Holiday was running away from his girlfriend from back East and was hanging out with a saloon / dance hall girl.

I enjoy watching the Earps and Holiday saga that has been remade so often, so watched a few minutes of the movie before retiring for the night.

So today, I was going through our blog posts and realized that I hadn't run on of my favorite pics of Annette where she posed as a dance hall / saloon girl!

So here it is... and published to tie in with our western comic books for sale in our eBay Featured Store!

Thanks for reading this popular culture - comics - comic books blog post!

Spider-Man's Co-Creator!

Steve Ditko!

Steve Ditko, the co-creator of the Amazing Spider-Man, Doctor Strange and many others in the Marvel, Charlton and other comics universes turned 80 years old this year.

He was born November 2nd, 1927, and broke in to illustrating comics in 1953.

Along the way he created many stories that I have enjoyed during the years, even though I haven't blogged about him much here...

The top left photo is one of the few of Steve Ditko, as he is a man who values his privacy and lets his work speak for himself!

For those looking to collect fine artwork, Steve Ditko's is definitely in a class by itself!

Thanks for reading this popular culture - comics - comic books blog post!

Guide to Business Gift-Giving

by Tina LoSasso

Anyone braving the shopping malls during the holiday season knows that finding the perfect gift for family or friends is not easy.

Business gift-giving can be even more challenging. Choosing the right business gift requires more time and thoughtfulness. How do you go about selecting exactly the right gift for that important client?  Here are some time-honored rules of thumb from the new sales advice book, Top Dog Sales Secrets.

• Men love gadgets, toys and food.  Think of the latest electronics, or a clever desktop novelty.

High-quality pens, nuts or jellybeans also score highly with men.

Cigars are a great idea if you know he smokes them.

Once again, think quality, not quantity. It’s far better to send a few of the very best than a box of duds he will throw away.

The above is from Tina's new book that is titled: 'Top Dog Sales Secrets' and we now have a few more copies listed for sale in our eBay Featured Store!

We've made it easy for you eBayers to buy this newly published book. Just click on the book cover at the top left to buy a copy with the 'Buy It Now' feature!

Florence Of Arabia!

That Was Angela Dorian's

(aka Victoria Vetri)

Role on The Batman TV Show!

What now?

Another silly named villainess?

Well, she was in episode #117 which aired during the 3rd Season of the Batman Show in February 1968.

She was the 'eye candy' assisting Victor Buono as 'King Tut' who was the guest villain that episode.

Just a short time before Angela had been Playboy's Playmate of the month of September 1967. After the Batman show aired, she became Playmate of the Year in May 1968!

She went on to play in Rosemary's Baby, When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth, and Invasion of the Bee Girls!

Interesting enough she had assumed the Angela Dorian name when posing, although she had starting acting in 1963 under her real name of Victoria Vetri until then...

For those interested in Batman comic books, we have several for sale in our eBay Featured Store !

Thanks for reading our pop culture - comics - comic book blog post!
