You Can Find Him In The 'Artists Alley' !
Tom Hodges... Messaged me that he will be attending the 2009 WonderCon, which will be held at the Moscone Center South in San Francisco, California from February 27 to March 1. Tom will be in the 'Artist Alley' area at table AA 114. If you're in the Bay Area and plan on attending the Con, Tom welcomes you to "please come by and say hello and if you're so inclined, buy stuff. LOL, I'll have prints, the new 09 Sketchbook and original art for sale as well as doing sketches on demand". My wife Tina is originally from the same area that Tom hails from... that of Cherry Hill, New Jersey! Tom has since moved on to San Antonio, Texas... Tom's major influence in his chosen career came during the Memorial Day weekend in 1977, "when he and his parents stood in line to see an innovative sci-fi film featuring amusing droids, unusual alien characters, and the epic battle between good and evil". Tom says "Star Wars is why I picked up the pencil in the first place.” It was during his formative years that Tom mainly focused on refining his drawing style. At the age of 25, he attended the Art Institute of Philadelphia to train in traditional and computer animation. Since those years Tom has gone on to draw a webstrip for StarWars.com, pencilled many sketch cards for Topps, (approximately 1,983 cards!), and more. The 'more' includes being Co-Creator of MidKnight (a Red 5 Comic and upcoming Animated series), and "m" a comic series that has been delayed due to Tom's busy schedule! For those that can't make it to Tom's table at 'Artists Alley' at the WonderCon, check out his artwork at: Below are the details for Wonder Con 2009 should you be able to see Tom there: When: FRI, FEB 27 - SUN, MAR 1
