Journeyman TV Show.... Not Coming Back...
Mood:  sad
Topic: TV Shows

Click here to see all of current listings!

Above is Gretchen Egolf who played 'Katie Vasser' on the Journeyman TV Show on NBC.

Time Travel TV Shows usually don't have time to include regular supporting cast members such as 'Katie' in each episode.

However Journeyman had almost an equal amount of 'air time' for time travel new characters as well as regular cast members. Yet it still didn't make the ratings charts NBC needed to satisfy advertisers!

Journeyman

Not Being Renewed

Journeyman was a New NBC Show that aired on Monday Nights at 10 PM, After 'Heroes'.

Tina and I already blogged our thoughts about the Pilot Episode ...  click here to see !

This show was about time travel, which is a hard concept for the mainstream viewing public to become emotionally attached to.

Additionally, NBC's Monday Night lineup was Chuck, Heroes, then Journeyman.

As I have blogged about previously, none of these were a good lead in for the next show, which NBC finally figured out when they aired an episode of 'Life' instead of 'Journeyman' recently after 'Heroes'.

I personally enjoy time travel shows, with Quantum Leap being one of my favorite TV shows of all time.

However, the cast in these shows usually don't get much air time, so the viewership has less chance to get emotionally attached to the cast members.

We enjoyed the series, with only one episode not being up to the usual standards the show set.

If NBC places 'Life' on after 'Heroes' when the season continues... well, we will be taping something else, as seen by 'Our Take' of the pilot of that series.

However, all this may be moot, as the WGA Strike is in its' sixth week, and we may have nothing to watch for a while on TV!

Because we're not going to watch a bunch of game and non-reality shows for our prime time viewing!

Thanks for reading this popular culture - comics - comic books blog post!

Michael

Here Is 'Our Take' On

TV Show on the Fox Network!
The 12-07-07 Episode

For those of you that missed this 12-07-07 show... The episode continued with the 1 hour format, but the show was moved to 9 PM!
Each band called to perform did a cover of a song by the rock band 'Queen'.  There was also original songs by the bands tonight as was the case in most of the earlier shows.

This blog post is similar to our format on 'Our Take' Of American Idol Performance Shows that we do when AI is in season.

The following is 'Our Take' on the Night's Performances in Numerical Grading.  I have added the points of the two songs performed by each band to get an average score.  You can see by the 'spread' that there is a difference of opinion between us on several of the performers:

For those that missed our previous blog posts on this TV Show, Here are the links:

Due to space limitations, the following are just a few notes from this nite:

Light of Doom - Disjointed performance per Michael. Too speeded up per Tina.
SixWire - Too much guitar solos per Tina.
DMHO - Their appearance has become too casual versus what they started out as... Hollywood laid back influence??? - Michael.
The final two in the 'Green Room' were DMHO & Dot Dot Dot... it should have been Light of Doom & Dot Dot Dot IMHO based on last week's performances!
Next week:  The Band with the lowest vote count won't play next week.... So No 'Results Show' like American Idol.
Next week the performances are cover song are on ???

Glad something is finally on Friday Nights for us!

For those that are wondering what the 'tie-in' is for us... we have Rock Comic Books and Magazines for sale in our eBay Featured Store!

Who Have Viewed Our Blog Posts So Far!

We hit the 38,000th mark of visitors with approximately 111,500 total page views at approximately 15:28 PM PDT today, December 13th, with a visitor from PORTUGAL checking out our August 2nd, 2007 archived blog post on The Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8 Exclusive Promo Item From the 2007 SDCC that we had for sale at that time !

With the busy shopping season going on, we have been listing and blogging right along! And so many of you have been visiting our new and archived posts which we are thankful for!
As a matter of fact, Saturday December 8th was our 'Biggest Visitor Day' in our blog's history with 567 visitors! And Monday December 10th was our Third Biggest Visitor Day with 505 Visitors!
For that, we want to thank all of you for taking the time during your busy day or night to visit us!

For those readers that are new to us, here is a little background on our Blog:

This Blog started June 7th 2006 shortly after eBay announced the new blogging format.

On July 15th 2006 we added on a stats counter as we found most viewers read but didn't comment and we wanted to know if we were being 'read' at all and from where!

We also started expanding our pop culture topics as we found that more and more bloggers finding us, enjoyed several of the TV Shows that we also enjoyed.

Thus 'Our Take' on episodes on TV Shows that we watch was born!

Unfortunately the WGA Strike is affecting those blog posts starting this past week! We will NOT be covering the new 'reality' or 'game' shows... with the exception of the two we have already been following (Survivor & Next Great American Band)!

If there are topics we don't discuss but could fit our pop culture - comic books - sci fi - TV Show - Movies related theme, feel free to e-mail us!

Sorry, but our comments option is turned off due to spammers from 'China' hitting our blog posts and so many other eBay Bloggers in recent weeks! That problem has not been rectified as of today...

To view our most recent blog posts, just click on the photo 'squares' in the left column to view those topics!

Also for those that have emailed us regarding our older archived blog posts being distorted:

Please be aware that eBay techs have revised the blogging format, thus our pre September 15, 2007 archived posts may be hard to read... sorry about that, but it is out of our control here!

Thanks for reading this popular culture - comics - comic books blog post!

That's All There Is To Batgirl's Theme Song!

Batgirrrl, Batgirl! Batgirrrl, Batgirl!

Where do you come from, where do you go?

What is your scene, baby, we just gotta know.

Batgirrrl, Batgirl! Batgirrrl, Batgirl!

Are you a chick who fell in from outer space?

Or are you real with a tender warm embrace?

Yaaa, whose baby are you? Batgirrrl, Batgirl!

Yaaa, whose baby are you? Batgirl!

Yeah.... that nonsense is hard to remember, even for a comic book geek!!
