The Iron Man Movie Super Bowl Commercial....

...Looked pretty good when it aired on Fox TV!  All it needed was the Black Sabbath song 'Iron Man' to keep a theme format going... along with the trailer that was shown at the SDCC - San Diego Comic Con!

But now there are Many Millions In Mainstream America who know what is in store for them on this May 2nd 2008!

Tina and I have been waiting eagerly for this film to premiere... so all these movie trailers and teasers are just whetting our appetites for more!

'Our Take' On:

American Idol

02-05-08

 In HotLanta!

This latest episode is still showing the auditions for Season 7, this time in Atlanta (Hotlanta), Goergia.

Here are 'our' thoughts on just a few of the auditions shown aired on 01-30-08:

This time over 12,000 contestants competed here in Atlanta.

Quite honestly, with the Democratic and Republican Primaries closing last night, I had the TV set to split screen to watch both this epsisode and the returns.

Due to the previous weeks episodes, I thought it best to watch both happenings at once, as I was sure I would be entertained on something!

Some 'standouts' from the night (good and bad):

Ryan Seacrest was back in his hometown, so his dad & mom came to visit him...

Josh Jones sings with his back to the judges, as Simon couldn't stand his eyes during his performance... but 2 yeses, (no from Simon).

Paula Hates To Say No Video, where Paula just can't say the word... to multiple contestants, that was funny...

Amanda, a 'rock and roll' nurse received 3 yeses, and Tina thought she was good.

Another contestant had her dad get in a car accident and died 2 days before the audition... she gets 3 yes votes...

Total of 20 contestants get the 'golden ticket' to Hollywood from Atlanta!

This airing was better than both of last week's, but still not worth the time investing in watching it so closing, IMHO!

'What If?'

Series From Marvel Comics!

This was a great series that Marvel Comics first started with Volume 1 Issue #1 in February of 1977!

It lasted for 47 issues, ending in October of 1984.

The series printed stories that just couldn't be done in Marvel's regular continuity, as those stories turned the Marvel Universe upside down!

These were almost like DC Comics' 'Imaginary Stories', but you knew right off the bat that the story was a 'What If...' story, not reading it and then finding out it was an 'imaginary' story!

The first volume included stories with Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, Thor, Captain America, the Avengers, Conan... all the 'big guns' of Marvel.

The least known was 'Dazzler' who became the herald of Galactus in a 'What If?' Story.

This is a series that is not for everyone. Which is why many comic book collectors collect only the issues that have their favorite character(s).

They make good reading, IF you know the history of the character, and how the twists and turns in the 'What If?' are so different!
