TODAY'S FEATURE IS BLOG #4021 - This past weekend was of course Super Bowl Weekend! But on Saturday, after posing as money taker for our Park's Saturday Breakfast, I drove to Lemon Grove to check out the First Toys For Tech Charity Event. I found this event on Facebook. It was being hosted by MJK Toys. There was just minimal info on it on the Facebook event page, Toys For Tech. I arrived there about 11 AM. As seen by the photos in the album at my Facebook Page, the event was on the small side in size. However, there was a Food Truck there also as advertised. I got out and took a look at the covered tables. There was enough toys for sale that the average toy fan would enjoy coming to this show. The cost to get in was 'Free'. Not Bad! I found a toy that made it worth driving to the show. See the last photo in the photo album! The photo shown above is of the promoter of the show, Mike Kyser of Mike's toys, (MJK Toys). I had a good conversation with him on what he wants to do with this brand new show. Most of the other dealers at this show were members of the United Toy Collectors of San Diego. They have a 'closed' group on Facebook. Mike has had an eBay store, and has sold at other shows in the past. I found this show to be a good one for a brand new show. The Church received a couple of hundred dollars from the charity event. The parking lot was on Church grounds. Keep an eye out for upcoming shows. I'll be posting on any upcoming shows at my Facebook Fan Page, Michael D Hamersky On Comics.
