Additional Tie-In with Newly Received eBay Mailed Brochure...

Additional Tie-In with Newly Received eBay Mailed Brochure.......

...that we received at our PO Box earlier this week!   I was pleased to see that it was featuring more collectible items than the last few brochures had.

The theme of this newly received brochure is:

"It all started with... a bid on the future and led to a passion for the past".

For our category the brochure also featured SUPERMAN collectibles  on page 6 & 7 with three SUPERMAN comics, so we have listed more of our own SUPERMAN Comic Books to tie in with the brochure!

The brochure states: 'It's a bird, it's a plane, it's the biggest selection of Superman collectibles anywhere!'

While we can't say that we have the biggest selection of Superman collectibles.... we do have many Superman, Action, World's Finest and other Superman related comics which we have listed in our eBay Featured Store and eBay Pro Store to take advantage of the comic book advertising eBay is providing for us!    Thanks eBay!!

Ghost Rider Movie Due Out Tomorrow..... !!!
Mood:  on fire

Ghost Rider Movie Due Out Tomorrow.....  !!!

Recently, (back in mid January), Film Writer and Director MARK STEVEN JOHNSON and actress EVA MENDES, (who portrays Roxanne Simpson in the film),  appeared on stage at the SHRINE AUDIORIUM EXPO CENTER in Los Angeles, California at the LA Sci-Fi & Comics Convention.

Tomorrow is the time for the film that they talked about to finally be shown!

Don't forget to check it out this weekend !!

And let us know how the movie based on the Ghost Rider comic books was for you !!!  Was the casting of Nicholas Cage the right one for the title role ???  Was the movie too campy for you.... or too horrific??

We personally will be out of town for part of the weekend, so probably won't get to view it till mid-week next week.

For those of you that get excited about the movie, or those of you that collect comic books, we have a few Ghost Rider comics in our eBay Featured Store, and our eBay Pro Store.

The Miniscule Ant-Man Starring In a Movie????

The Miniscule Ant-Man Starring In a Movie????

'Ant-Man' is an announced super-hero theatrical film based on the Marvel Comics character Ant-Man.

'Ant-Man' will be directed by Edgar Wright, of 'Shaun of the Dead' fame. The script is written by Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish. The theatrical movie will be produced by Avi Arad, financed by Marvel Studios, and to be released by Paramount Pictures.

Tina and I attended the Marvel Movies program at the San Diego Comic Con International last summer where this was announced. Marvel will be financing its' own movies as much as possible after it has been proven that comic book movies can be profitably made.

However, to choose Ant-Man, who I personally love as a character based on the Hank Pym version, to be one of the first to have his own movie financed by Marvel seems to be a long-shot, (no pun intended).

The director spoke at the program, and his choice of Scott Lang, who took Hank Pym's equipment and became the second version of Ant-Man, to be the star of this movie just doesn't ring true for me.  There is supposed to be a flashback of Hank Pym as the first Ant-Man at the beginning of the movie, but time will tell if that is in the released version.

For those interested in Marvel Super Heroes, we have several hundred in our eBay Featured Store and eBay Pro Store. To check out our Ant-Man comics just click on the comic book pictured to the top left!

Blade, Vampire Hunter Movie Trilogy ..... & Comics

Blade the Vampire Hunter... the Movie Trilogy ...

& Comic books...

Blade was a 1998 theatrical film starring Wesley Snipes and Stephen Dorff. Blade was adopted from the Blade comic book series. The film was directed by Stephen Norringtan and written by David Gayer. Wesley Snipes played the title role of Blode, a half-man, half-vampire superhero vampire hunter who becames the protector of humans against the vampires.

The film spawned a sequel, Blade II, which was released in 2002. The last film of the Trilogy, Blade: Trinity, was released in December 2004.

For those interested in the Blade comic book movies based on comic books, we have Blade appearances in our eBay Featured Store and more Blade comics in our eBay Pro Store.

Barb Wire... the Movie ... & Comic books

Barb Wire... the Movie ... & Comic books...

Barb Wire was a 1996 theatrical film based on the Dark Horse Comics, and was produced by Brad Wyman. The movie starred Pamela Anderson in the title role, plus Temeura Morrison, and Victoria Rowell.

The movie was set in the year 2017, and takes place after democracy has fallen and a fascist military junta has taken over the U.S.A. government.

The junta has plotted to wipe out the country with Red Ribbon, a laboratory-manufactured disease derived from the AIDS virus. The entire test city of Topeka has been annihilated, and only the small bastion of Steel Harbor remains the last free zone in the country.

Steel Harbor is the home of the title heroine Pamela Lee. Barb, a leather-clad, busty motorcycle mama, who besides owning a bar, moonlights as a bounty hunter!  The plot thickens as she comes upon her freedom-fighter ex-lover and his wife (much in the vein of Casablanca film).

I was one of the few that didn't watch Pamela on the Baywatch TV show, however I did catch her in a Playboy issue, and caught this movie near the end of its theatrical run.

In my opinion Pamela was right on as the heroine and so much so that the artwork in the comics started portraying Pamela's image possibly as a sales ploy. This is one of the early comic book movies before the recent explosion of this movie genre, and is actually not that bad.... It is watchable versus the first Captain America movie, or the first Punisher Movie, or even the first Fantastic Four movie that was not released!

For those interested in other comic book movies based on comic books, we have several hundred in our eBay Featured Store and eBay Pro Store. Our Barb Wire Comics are in the eBay Pro Store only. Just Don't Call Her Babe!
