Topic: Comic Book History
TODAY'S FEATURE IS BLOG #3609 - I came across this book that was first published in November of 2005. It's called 'Mythology' The DC Comics Art Of Alex Ross - by Chip Kidd & Geoff Spear. So, what is the book about? Here's the promotional blurb about it: "Mythology brings together the best loved comic characters in the world, brought to life by Alex Ross, one of the most astonishing young artists working in the medium today. The award-winning designer/writer Chip Kidd and photographer Geoff Spear have teamed up to create a book like no other, with an introduction by M. Night Shyamalan, the acclaimed director of The Village and The Sixth Sense." I found this book to be one of those 'coffee table books' that you would see laying around. The layout of the book is kind of strange to me. The artwork is fine, but the organization of it is a little off, in my opinion. I would give it a Very Fine / Very Fine Plus (VF/VF+) 8.25 out of a 10.0 comic book grading scale. Here is the ordering info for this book: Paperback: 320 pages You can order it here: Mythology: The DC Comics Art of Alex Ross ~Michael D Hamersky
