TODAY'S FEATURE IS BLOG #3982 - This past Saturday was the Review Meeting & Potluck Party for the volunteers of the San Diego Comic Fest. The event was held at the Old Poway Park Gazebo at 14134 Midland Road, Poway, CA, starting at noon. Mike Towry, the San Diego Comic Fest founder led the group with bringing in tables to place the Potluck Party dishes. Kim Stadler, (shown at the left in the second photo above), gave a full report of what had happened at the 2013 Comic Fest, and what we could look forward to at the 2014 Comic Fest! Kim will be in charge of the room at the top of tower for 2014. The theme has not yet received approval from the owners of the license of the intellectual property, so I'm not mentioning it here yet. The 2013 San Diego Comic Fest had many additional attendees over the 2012 count, but still not enough for the non-profit organization to move to the other side of the Town & Country Resort for 2014. So the Comic Fest will stay on the East side of the resort for 2014. There is a big need for more volunteers for 2014... You are invited to join us to help organize next year's convention. The link to the Facebook Fan Page for the San Diego Comic Fest can be found here. Thanks to all of those that came to this special Review Meeting & Potluck Party! Here is the link to the rest of the photos not shown at the top right of this blog. ~ Michael
