Topic: Comic Cons
TODAY'S FEATURE IS BLOG #3819 - I have been asked by a couple of my Facebook Friends if the upcoming WonderCon is worth going to... Well, I attended a few WonderCons when it was held in Oakland, California for several years in the 1990s, and when time permits, I've been uploading a few photos from that era at my Facebook Fan Page. Here's a link to the 1996 WonderCon photo album, which is just one of the photo albums. I hadn't been to a WonderCon for several years... Until 2012's WonderCon in Anaheim. Here's 'My Take' on the 2012 event. Plus here is Tina's Take on it also, via her blog post. A final 2012 link is the special 2012 WonderCon photo album with pics that I took. Well... The 2013 WonderCon is going to be held in Anaheim again, due to scheduling problems up in the San Francisco Bay Area, which is where WonderCon is usually held. I've already mentioned that I will be sitting on a panel on the 3rd / last day of the WonderCon. I have already set up an Event Page for this panel via my Facebook Fan Page, at... Wondercon: The Business and Hobby of Collecting Comics. I hope to see you there! In addition, I have posted a blog on what panels I am going to see during the three days, at blog #3816. Those should be pretty good panels. There is an exhibit floor there also, and this is the link to the list of exhibitors. I will probably be centering my attention as usual on the Artists Alley and the Small Press sections though, as that is where the most fun is for me anymore, (other than the panels upstairs!). For those of you interested in obtaining autographs... You might find this link to be of interest. As a final suggestion... I would suggest taking a look at this link for the parking areas. Why? Well last year the WonderCon didn't take up the whole convention center... AND it won't again this year. Last year's Cheerleading convention happening at the same time made the parking sell out quick! We had to park at the Disneyland parking lot one of those three days last year! I believe this will end my series on the 2013 WonderCon until Tina and I both blog our 'Takes' on the 2013 convention. Thanks for reading this! And I hope to see you there also. Feel free to stop me and say hello if we pass through convention center! ~ Michael (UPDATE: Noontime, Wednesday 3-27... The 3 day badges for WonderCon are now SOLD OUT! Plus the single day badge for SATURDAY only is sold out! So if you are thinking of going... buy your badges online now! At this link!)
