Penn & Teller

...And Comic Books?!

TODAY'S FEATURE IS BLOG #3900 -     Well... Like I mentioned in yesterday's blog... We have returned from our vacation from Las Vegas / Primm Valley, Nevada!

I have downIoaded all of the photos / videos that we shot during the trip, and will be uploading them in the weeks to follow, per each blog's topic.

Today's topic is the Penn & Teller show!

I of course knew of them, but had never seen them in person.  Sure, I saw Penn Jillette on the Celebrity Apprenctice a second time this past season, so I was comfortable with seeing him, as well as Teller who showed up in an episode of the show!

The evening we had at the Rio's Penn & Teller Theater was fantastic!   If you head out to Las Vegas... You should take this show in!

Here's the link to the Penn & Teller Wikipedia entry.

Plus here is the link to their own web site.

I will be uploading a video from the opening of the act at my YouTube Channel soon. In the meantime here is the photo album at my Facebook Fan Page.

As for the comic book connnection... Well, there have a lot of magicians in comic book history!

Including of course, Doctor Strange from Marvel Comics, Magicman in Forbidden Worlds from ACG Comics, Mandrake the Magician from King Comics, and Zatanna Zatara from DC Comics just to name a few!

As for the word 'Magic' itself... There are over 200 different comic book titles with 'Magic' as part of the title!

So there is a connection between 'Magic Shows' & 'Comic Books'!
