| | The Gala Premiere Of The Facebook Comic Con Ended Last Night... But That Doesn't Mean That The FBCC Is Over!

That's Right! The Facebook Comic Con's Gala Premiere started last Thursday March 12th, 2009, and ended last night, Sunday March 15th. However one really nice thing about this 'virtual comic con', is that no one had to pack up their table after the Gala Premiere ended on the 15th! Yes, those who had tables at this 'virtual' Comic Con, have left them up for those of you who didn't get a chance to visit the Con this past weekend, or those of you that want to come back and 'virtually walk' another round of the exhibit floor! Those exhibitors included writers, artists, publishers, and dealers, (like ourselves). Many photos of past, current, and even upcoming comics, graphic novels and other pop culture items were displayed. Dealers like ourselves even had promotional sales going on and discounts tied in to the Premiere Gala. Also, there were Honored Guests at the Con, including William Katt (The Greatest American Hero), who had not one, but three 'Live Chats' during the con that he took and answered questions from those 'virtually attending' the Con! Now that is being a Honored Guest Star allright!I have blogged earlier that the FBCC was also having a Premiere Costume Competition. See this blog post for the winners of the competition! My thanks to Lisa Hager-Duncan for running such a great event. It was a pleasure being one of the five judges for the competition! My youngest son and I really enjoyed visiting the Portfolio and Script Reviews Hall. This area of the Con was co-ordinated by Stacey Aragon... Thanks to Stacey for a great show! The Pow Wow Hall with panels and inteviews was co-ordinated by Jack Chiu... Great Job Jack! And as at any non-virtual con, I didn't get a chance to see it all... but This time I can go back and catch those I didn't see because it is 24/7... Wow indeed!And... of course what is a comic con without a program book? Well Thanks to Marc Fletcher, there is one! Check it out! And yes there plans to have it as a 'hard copy' in the future....If I missed any of the co-ordinators of the FBCC in this post, my apologies... because as at other cons, I can only 'walk' and 'see' so much at a con!A Very BIG Special Thanks has to go out to Michael Netzer, who created and promoted this virtual comic con to the world in only one month's time! Great job Michael! I for one will be continuing to keep our dealer table there, with links to our eBay Featured Store, so that others that missed the Gala Premiere can still stop by and say hello or even shop!Below are just a few of the main booths where you can find out what happened, and best of all... What is Continuing to happen!Have Sum Fun Everyone!
