Today's the Big Day!   It is Preview Night at the Comic-Con International: San Diego, (aka San Diego Comic Con) starting at 6 PM!   So there won't be any blogs during the next few days... However you can view the photos that I upload through my camera phone each day at my Facebook Fan Page.   Early next week, I'll be uploading the rest of my photos and Tina's photos in special albums at that same Fan Page.    Plus, I'll be uploading the videos taken at panels / programs at my YouTube Channel after that.   Things are usually hectic during and right after I get back from SDCC, so just letting you know what links to look at during the days of Comic-Con & afterwards. ~Michael          The above map just shows Halls A & B... But the Comic-Con goes all the way down to Hall H!  Plus this is just the lower level of the Convention Center.  There is a Mezzanine Floor & then the top floor where the panels / programs are held.  Plus more programs are shown at the Hilton Bayside & the Marriott. Plus a new location for 2013... the Lyceum Theater!

Michael D Hamersky On Comics Figures Out His Schedule For The...              2013 Comic-Con International: San Diego     That Runs Wednesday, July 17th thru Sunday July 20th of 2013 in San Diego, California!      TODAY'S FEATURE IS BLOG #3906 -      I have already mentioned the fact that I will be at the Comic-Con International: San Diego (aka San Diego Comic Con) starting this Wednesday's Preview Night.    I was asked what programs / panels I will be attending.  This is my preliminary schedule.  As you can see, there is some overlap time-wise, so when I receive my scheduling program with the grids at the Comic-Con, I'll mark down and make my final decisions on which programs / panels I'll be attending.   Below this text is the preliminary schedule...   Whew!   That is a schedule that is going to keep me busy!   And that is without me sitting on any panels at this year's Comic-Con!   I'll be blogging about some of these after the Comic-Con is over.  Plus posting photos / videos that I take at the con.     I'll also be posting a few photos each day direct from the Comic-Con at my Facebook Fan Page, Michael D Hamersky On Comics.   For those of you not aware of my history with the San Diego Comic Con... Michael D Hamersky On Comics Presents His Take On The...     Brave Combo Band    At the TGIF Jazz In The Parks Concert in Carlsbad, California on Friday, July 12th!       TODAY'S FEATURE IS BLOG #3905 -     Back in blog #3896, I posted about the first TGIF Jazz In The Parks Concert being hosted by the City of Carlsbad, California.   That concert featured Madame LeRoux and Krewe, plus the Euphoria Brass Band.   Friday night's concert, on July 12th featured... Brave Combo!   The band played both sets, and had a good mix-up of songs that were played.  Our neighbors that attended the concert liked the variety.   I kind of liked the polka tunes that were played, LOL!   I'll be posting the rest of the photos at the special album at my Facebook Fan Page.   The videos that I shot will be uploaded to my YouTube Channel in the days to follow.   The band has a Facebook Fan Page, link.   They also have a web site, link.   This band hasn't played the TGIF Jazz In the Parks schedule since 2006.    They were definitely a hit for the crowd on Friday night, as there was a lot of participation on the dance floor!   There are six more TGIF concerts scheduled in this 2013 Season.  Check my blog #3893 for details!   ~Michael     The TGIF Jazz In The Parks Banner. Michael D Hamersky On Comics Revisits The...     Pinball Hall of Fame   in Las Vegas, Nevada!       TODAY'S FEATURE IS BLOG #3904 -     As I mentioned in Monday's blog... We have returned from our vacation in Las Vegas / Pahrump / Primm Valley, Nevada.   One of the locations we stopped at during our vacation trip was the Pinball Hall of Fame, which I first introduced to our blog readers in blog #3316 from January 5th of 2011.   Ever since then, whenever Tina and I go to Las Vegas... Tina makes sure that we stop in and play for a while!   Tina really enjoys the old & new games in this museum!  And the total amount of games in this Museum building is only 1/5th of what the owner owns!   I suggest that you:   1) Stop in at this Pinball Hall of Fame during your next stop to Las Vegas.  It can be found at:  1610 E. Tropicana, Las Vegas, Nevada 89119.   2) Take a look at the photos on this blog, and at the special photo album at my Facebook Fan Page.   3) 'Like' the Facebook Fan Page for the Pinball Hall of Fame.   Tim, the owner of the museum, has a lot of good and fun other type of games as well as pinball machines.   Be sure to take a look at this place your next trip to Las Vegas!   We sure will!   ~Michael The Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas, Nevada. Michael D Hamersky On Comics Presents His Take On The...   Sanders Family Winery In Pahrump, Nevada!   TODAY'S FEATURE IS BLOG #3903 -     As I mentioned in Monday's blog... We have returned from our vacation in Las Vegas / Pahrump / Primm, Nevada.   One of the locations we stopped at during our vacation trip was the Sanders Family Winery in Pahrump, Nevada.   We had not visited this winery before, indeed had not known about it, although there are just four wineries in all of the state of Nevada!   At the right are a few photos from our trip to the winery. More will be uploaded to the special photo album at my Facebook Fan Page!   The Pahrump area, (as well as Las Vegas where we were staying), was experiencing a heat wave, and we were the only ones at the Winery for the tasting that early Wednesday morning of July 3rd.   Which made it more interesting for us!   Jack Sanders, owner of the Winery, took the time to tell us about the Winery, its wines, his history in the area, and more about Pahrump!   The Sanders Family Winery is just about 45 minutes away from the Strip in Las Vegas, after taking 160 to travel there.  The location is at: 3780 E. Kellogg, Pahrump, Nevada 89061.   The Facebook Fan Page for the Winery is at this link, and the web site for the Winery is this link.   Tina and I enjoyed the tasting, and picked up a few bottles to bring back to California.   Make time to see the Italian Tuscan Villa building that the winery is housed in. The winery is on the Southern side of the town of Pahrump.   The winery is actually bordered on each side by the  Spring Mountains to the East, and the colorful Nopah Range defining the Nevada-California border to the West. We will definitely be coming back to this winery in a future Las Vegas / Primm trip!
