Herb Trimpe Will Be The 'Guest Of Honor' At Tampa Comic Book & Toy Convention 2009! |
Herb Trimpe... Is the 'Guest Of Honor' at the upcoming Tampa Comic Book & Toy Convention! I have had the pleasure of meeting him at a different con before, and he is an unassuming man for someone who first drew Wolverine in Incredible Hulk #180 PLUS a lot more artwork during his career in the comics industry starting in 1966-67! The 'Plus' includes G.I. Joe, Fantastic Four Unlimited, the 'one shot' Phantom Eagle in Marvel Super-Heroes, Kid Colt Outlaw, Iron Man, Captain America, Ant-Man in Marvel Feature, the Defenders, the Transformers, The Further Adventures of Indiana Jones, and of course The Incredible Hulk run that he drew! Herb Trimpe rarely received the accolades or the attention from the 'fanboys' during his years drawing. He came in when the earliest Marvel artists were still there forming the Marvel Universe, (1966-67). Others that came in before and later received the big 'fanboy' recognition for the most part. It is great to see Herb receive the well deserved 'Guest of Honor' Title at this Comic Con! For those that can't make it to see Herb at this ComicCon, check out his artwork at: http://www.herbtrimpe.com Below are the details for this 2009 comic con should you be able to see Herb there:
