And there are several 'Signings' going on at some of the FCBD locations! What could be more fun this weekend than this! The new X-Men Origins: Wolverine film, the Free Comic Book Day, and several comics creators at some locations that are signing their own creations Free!
Below are just a few of my Facebook Friends that will be attending a location possibly near You!
OHIO - Molly Durst tells me that she will probably be at Packrat Comics for the morning and then head out for Ren Faire in the afternoon. Packrat Comics is at: 3872 Lattimer Street, Hilliard, Ohio 43026. For more info either Phone: (614) 527-8450 or check their web site at www.packratcomics.com. Their FCBD activities Start at 10am and ends after Nerd Night! Would you believe they will have Special Guest Appearances from Mickey Mouse, Kung Fu Panda and Spiderman! So bring your camera! And yeah, you read it right! Their 'Nerd Night' is a function that starts at 6pm! They would like you to join them for live bands, stand up comedians and a Super Smash Brothers Brawl tournament! CALIFORNIA - Chris Ryall, who is the Publisher / Editor In Chief of IDW Comics, will be at the Free Comic Book Day signing at the brand-new Earth-2 Comics (formerly Golden Apple) in Northridge, CA. He and Scott Tipton will have advance copies of COMIC BOOKS 101 as well as many of their comics. Date: Saturday, May 2, 2009. Time: 12:00pm - 2:00pm. Location: Earth-2 Comics Northridge. OHIO - Sean Forney tells me that he... "will be at Fearless Readers Comics in Dayton for Free Comic Book Day. I will have free 8.5x11 color prints and free mini comics there. CONNECTICUT - Creator and Artist of Hell's Blood, Hector E Rodriguez will be on hand with books and other assorted goodies at Sarges Comics in New London, CT this Saturday May 2nd for Free Comic Book Day! Details for event are: Sarges Comics, 124 State Street, New London CT, from 10am to 5pm!
NEW YORK - reator Comic Book Writer Vito Delsante will be signing at Jim Hanley's Universe in Manhattan on Saturday. Vito is the writer of 'Before They Were Famous: Babe Ruth' and 'FCHS - Free Comic Book Day' edition among other projects. Well that's it for this blog post! And for those of you that are new to our blog today, we have an ongoing online 'Comic Con and Pop Culture Convention' ourselves here at "Make It So Marketing Inc.", what with our daily blog posts, and new listings of items for sale in our online Store!
However due to the fact that we are online only, and not a brick & mortar store, we won't be participating in this FCBD event this year other than blogging where you can pick these FCBD comics at, and possibly see a comics creator!
