TODAY'S 'MAIN FEATURE': Back on Monday, December 21st, 2009, I reviewed the first issue of this series, as seen by clicking here... Please note that there was also an issue #0, which I had not reviewed before in this blog, nor have I yet read it as of this new blog date. As was the case with Issue #1, John B. Lai, Chief Operating Officer/Editor in Chief of the Ultimate Comics Group, LLC, was kind enough to send me a preview copy of the 2nd issue. So what's this issue about?Art & Colors: Harold Dean Cupec Story & Letters: John Lai Standard Comic There’s an undead guy in your house, you’re BEST friend is NOW a VAMPIRE, and it’s not even 7:00am. If you think your mornings are hectic, follow Essence as she leads an unlikely trio to track down the Lord of Vampire’s! Will Essence discover the REAL threat? As stated in my earlier review of issue #1, I've always liked Harold's artwork that he has posted on his Facebook Wall. (Note: Harold is a Facebook Friend of mine.) This issue #2 of 'Enchanting Essence' also did not disappoint me! Harold continued to show me that he could draw great looking gals and illustrated this story in a sequential manner that held my interest, just as the first issue did! As mentioned in my review of issue #1, vampires and zombies are not my usual reading niche, but since I blog about comics and pop culture for others to possibly read as well as myself; I continue to feel that I should include those of that niche that are more than just run-of-the-mill publications. As I noticed in the first issue, John B. Lai's dialogue kept the story flowing in this 2nd issue also. However, the main storyline itself seemed to end a few pages before the actual end of the comic book. It seemed to take a few xtra pages to close out the two part story, or was that just me thinking it was a long close? Other than noting that minor detail, I would be inclined to read a third issue with no hesitation. The colors as before were still vivid, and meshed well with the genre of this story, no change there from the first issue. After reading issues #1 & #2 of this series, I would recommend this for reading. So, what if You can't find it in your LCBS, or you aren't even near a LCBS?
