TODAY'S FEATURE - Blog #3102: Richard Herd will be at Wizard World Comic Con Anaheim...And that will be sure to please his many fans! If you are asking..."Who is Richard Herd?", that may be because he is such a good actor that you recognize him by sight, and not by name, because of the many roles he has played in his career! I was fortunate enough to meet him once at a Quantum Leap Convention. He was as nice in person as he was coming across as Moe Stein / Captain Galaxy on the Quantum Leap TV Show Episode "Future Boy"! Others of YOU will remember him probably in diffrent roles, depending on YOUR age. With the revival of 'V' on TV this New Season (2009-2010), several fans have gone back to see the original two series. Richard had a role in the 1983 NBC miniseries V and then in the 1984 sequel V: The Final Battle, as John, the Visitors' Supreme Commander! Others of you will remember his other major Sci-Fi genre roles include such recurring parts on the NBC series SeaQuest DSV as Admiral William Noyce, and then later on Star Trek: Voyager as Admiral Owen Paris, the father of Tom Paris. But for me, as a big 'Leaper' during the days of Quantum Leap and QL Conventions, (see photo bottom right of this blog), I remember him best in two guest appearances on Quantum Leap, where he played the children's show host "Captain Galaxy" (a.k.a. Moe Stein in civilian life), who was a would-be time traveler, and then in the final episode, 'Mirror Image', as a miner named Ziggy Ziganovich. Darn, I miss that series... and yikes, It's been 20 Years as of 2009! Anyways, if YOU plan to be in the Southern California area NEXT WEEKEND, and are a fan of his many TV AND Film roles, be sure to check out this 3-Day Comic Con in Anaheim, California! If nothing else, if YOU are a Fan of any of the shows mentioned above, be there to see Richard Herd! BIG NOTE: Richard Herd will be there ONLY Friday and Saturday!
