TODAY'S FEATURE IS BLOG #3703 - Yesterday, I blogged about the 'Read Comics In public Day' event that I attended in the Claremont neighborhood of San Diego, California, on Saturday. (See blog #3702.) The special day was started to take place on Jack Kirby's birthdate, which was on August 28th. The 'Read Comics in Public' Day was started in 2010. For those of you that don't know that much about Jack Kirby... Here is a link to the Wikipedia entry on Jack. There is a lot of info and links to be found there, so I won't repeat them here. The web site for this special day has been re-directed to its Facebook fan page: 'Read Comics In Public'. The group was started by Brian Heater and Sarah Morean back in 2010. I urge you to take a look at the above links, and see what is happening today, August 28th, in your area, so you too can celebrate the 'Read Comics in Public' Day, and celebrate Jack Kirby's birthday as well! ~ Michael
