Above Top Photo: The comic book that made me STOP READING comics... AND START COLLECTING comics!  Journey Into Mystery #72 cover dated September of 1961!  Outstanding comic book cover from Jack Kirby & Dick Ayers!  The inside cover story by Stan Lee wasn't so bad either!  This is when I realized that 'real people' were behind the scenes creating comic books!  There weren't any comic cons back then to see how comic books were produced!

Left Top Photo:  This past weekend, Tina & I attended the 2011 Long Beach Comic & HORROR Con!   A fitting 'new' name for a comic book convention that has been scheduled during the Halloween Season the past few years!

TODAY'S FEATURE - Blog #3537:

This past weekend, Tina and I attended the 3rd Annual Long Beach Comic Con... Which 'added' the word 'Horror' to its name, making it the 'Long Beach Comic & Horror Con'. We both enjoyed attending this convention, and felt that the name change was fitting, as this con keeps taking place during the Halloween season!  (Note: Here's my review blog on the 2011 con.)

Today is October 31st of 2011... And it is time for Halloween! Besides getting interested in it by attending the Long Beach Comic & Horror Con, and seeing the attempt for the largest attended Zombie Walk ever, which took place at the same Long Beach Convention Center where the con was located, I'm also looking forward to the upcoming weekend, where I will see 'Elvira' for the 'last time' in costume.    This will take place at the 1st ever ComiKaze Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center!  (NOTE: Here's the link to my Halloween of 2009 archived blog post on Elvira, "What's Halloween WITHOUT Elvira?!")

Okay... Enough of the 'commercials' for the cons!  Where's the comic book covers guaranteed to get YOU in the mood for Halloween??!!

Here's a few from the past... The recent past, and the far far away past for several of you readers out there!  I'm including Silly Comic Book Covers... Fun Comic Book Covers for the special day, and then lastly... Downright SCARY Comic Books Covers!  Enjoy!

Hey!  Just like I said... Silly, Fun & then Downright Scary Comic Book Covers!  LOL!

Happy Halloween to all of You!
