TODAY'S FEATURE - Blog #3572: It's my annual 'Happy Birthday' Blog Card to Stan Lee! Stan turns 89 this year, and is still going strong in the world of comics, as seen at the recent Nuke the Fridge Con held in the City of Industry, California, where I set up a book signing table. In addition, I have Stan Lee meeting Mike Tyson in a video upload as filmed at the same Nuke the Fridge Con, as seen here before the meet, and here during the actual 'duking' it out! Stan Lee has was the First of those who I've listed as being one of those... "Whom I Am Thankful For", along with Engineer Bill, Sheriff John, Fess Parker, Jack Kirby, Shel Dorf, and Annette Funicello, in my annual Thanksgiving Blog. As seen in this cumulative blog post #3553 from the 2011 Thanksgiving blog! Of course everyone by know should know who Stan Lee is... But if you don't, here's a pretty good background wiki on Stan Lee in the Wikipedia web site. Plus here's a link to Google, where there are now over 2,700 listing of just this Blog referencing him! Talking about numbers... Are you aware that there are over 36,740 credits attributed to Stan Lee at the Grand Comics DataBase, (GCD)? What a prolific writer Stan has been throughout the years!
I've been fortunate enough to meet Stan several times during the years, mostly at Southern California comic cons. The sheer mass of people nowadays at these conventions that want to meet Stan keeps the one-on-one aspect to a bare minimum. As the recent autograph session at the Nuke the Fridge Con entitled an attendee an opporutunity to have an item autograph signed, and that was about it. However, Stan, at 88 years of age, didn't take a signing break, but instead kept signing away until the last attendee with an autograph ticket was taken care of! Now that's Stan (THE MAN!) Lee for ya! My sincere wishes to Stan to have another great birthday today... And to keep it up! You are truly loved by your Legions of Fans! ~Michael D Hamersky On Comics!

I shared one of the photos from the 1998 SDCC above at the top right, and here's another one from 1998 where Stan was signing another of my Fantastic Four comics, which is my favorite title that he co-created years ago back in 1961!
