Eric Radomski To Be Special Guest Speaker At SCCS Meeting... October 15th, 2008 !
Earlier this week I blogged about June Foray attending an upcoming show in Burbank, California. That reminded me that I had attended a special dinner featuring her at the SCCS (Southern California Cartoonists Society - which is the San Diego Chapter of the National Cartoonists Society). I hadn't checked the SCCS web site for a while, and when doing so, saw their special guest speaker for their October 2008 meeting is Eric Radomski, (pictured below). Eric Radomski is a three time Emmy Award Winner. He is known for his work in the early 1990's as a background stylist on Steven Spielberg's Tiny Toon Adventures. From there he went on and developed and produced Batman: The Animated Series, where he won his first Emmy Award. Eric went on to direct Spielberg's 'Freakozoid', where he won his second Emmy. For you comics fans out there... Eric went on to win his third Emmy for his work on Todd McFarlane's 'Spawn' series. If you are in the SoCal area during this date, you might want to mark your calendar to attend.... For those of you that are new to our blog today, we have an ongoing 'Comics Show and Pop Culture Convention' ourselves here at "Make It So Marketing Inc.", what with our daily blog posts and new listings of items for sale in our online store! Thanks for reading this blog post today, and please join us again! ~ Michael

Even Though The New 2008-09 TV Season Has Started...
I Wanted To Share With You "My New Find" On TV Shows From The PAST !
I am coming across many more venues for obtaining information on TV Shows & Movies, upcoming comics, and 'in print' or to be published books on pop culture topics that I enjoy since joining Facebook. The main reason for that is that I read the 'Info' pages of the mny new Facebook Friends to see what they have published or what they are in process of creating! Billie Rae Bates, (pictured below), is just one of the many new 'Facebook Friends' that I have just become acquainted with. She has been a professional writer and editor for more than 15 years, including 10 years in the daily newspaper industry. Here's where it gets really interesting for me and probably several of our blog readers who enjoy TV Shows: Billie Rae Bates has already published the BRBTV reference books, which cover the primetime soaps "Dynasty" and "Dallas," the action-adventure hit "The Dukes of Hazzard" and the daytime soap "Santa Barbara"! As for myself, I was a "Dallas" fan for many years, watching it till the very end. BTW, I also enjoyed "Dynasty" when Joan Collins was on that series! So if you are or were a fan of any of the above mentioned four shows, you might want to check out your normal sources to obtain these books authored by Billie Rae Bates! If you are unable to locate a copy of these for yourself or would like to try a .pdf format of the books, you could try her web site, www.BillieRae.com, which also has additional links for her other endeavors including her BRBTV and blog! ~ Michael Note: If you are involved in comics or other pop culture genre, and have an upcoming comic book, graphic novel or other release or are holding an upcoming convention that may be of interest to us and / or our blog readers, feel free to email us! | Ok Dallas Fans! Here's some trivia questions for you! What are the names of Bobby's sons? How many times did J.R. and Sue Ellen marry? And of course ... Just WHO the heck shot J.R.? If you are like me, you were one of the enthralled millions of viewers who watched this show over many seasons on CBS! Would you believe it continues to enthrall viewers on cable and DVD decades later?! I have found Billie Rae Bates' web site that showcases this book of hers. And now You can have all the fun facts of the Ewings and Southfork Ranch at your fingertips with this fun reference guide, DESTINATION: DALLAS. This book is the second of the four BRBTV reference books on classic 1980s TV shows, and it includes an exhaustive cast list, character guide, episode guide, fun and useless information, birthdays of the stars, celeb interviews, a guide to the merchandise of the show, and much much more! Check it out! Note From Make It So Marketing: Above left is a photo of Michael and Tina from the 2008 SDCC - San Diego Comic International. Click that photo to see 'Our World'! June Foray
Will Be At The Hollywood Collectors & Celebrities Show!
The Show Is Being Held October 4th & 5th, 2008
At The Burbank Airport Marriott Hotel & Convention Center
Sorry for the late blog post on this, but I just received an 'invite' to attend this Show via my Facebook account. The reason I am blogging this is that I was fortunate to meet June Foray a few years back when she was the guest of honor at the San Diego Chapter of the National Cartoonists Society's monthly dinner. Virgina Herman, widow of Vic Herman, (Creator of Winnie the WAC, Elsie the Cow, and many more.), had invited me to attend the dinner with her. June was delightful to meet in person in this small setting, and hearing her talk about the shows she had been on was very insightful. So if you have the opportunity to go to this show, if only to meet June Foray, it would be a great opportunity to do so! Other scheduled guest attending are: Roger Corman, April Winchell, Tony Dow, Linda Evans, Tom 'Billy Jack' Laughlin, Donna Mills, Leslie Nielsen, Jane Russell, Bob Bergen, Barry Bostwick, Angela Cartwright, Micky Dolenz, Ron Harper, Tommy Kirk, Richard Kiel, and many more!! For more show info please see the web site: http://www.hollywoodcollectorshow.com/Burbank.htmThe cost for attending each day is $20.00, or $30.00 for both days. Please see the web site to see what charges there are for autographs, if any, for the guests you would be interested in obtaining signatures from! Thanks for reading this blog post today, and please join us again! ~ Michael
Note: If you are involved in comics, and have an upcoming comic book, graphic novel or other release or are holding an upcoming convention that may be of interest to us and / or our blog readers, feel free to email us!
| Voice Actor June Foray is scheduled to be at the Hollywood Collectors & Celebrities Show. Also she was the voice of 'Jokey Smurf' and 'Mother Nature' of "The Smurfs" plus almost 50 other various voices in animated features and television shows during the years of her career!
