So Who's HOT In Our Archived Blog Posts Right Now? 07-10-08
Mood:  d'oh
Topic: Comic Book Movies

So Who's

'Hot'

 In Our Archived Blog Posts

Right Now?

No, It's NOT Laura Vandervoort or Bettie Page Or Teri Hatcher

Or Even Hancock or Indiana Jones...

No... This Time Right Now,  It's...

Catwoman?

Yeah... Catwoman!

Regular Readers of our Blog know that I check our Blog Stats at least daily to see which of our archived blog posts bloggers are viewing!

The why has been explained before, but suffice to say we have thousands of more items to list and it is always best to know what timely topic people are looking for! Matter of fact, we just sold ten Indiana Jones comics to a Canadian customer this morning after seeing new interest in our Indy posts!

But as of right now, the most viewed archived blog post we have, (out of over 1750 total), is the 'Julie Newmar - Halle Berry -Catwoman' archived Blog post of ours from March 11th 2007!

That blog post has been  viewed by 7% of our most recent viewership.

It's been an archived blog post that has had a fair share of bloggers viewing it, probably due to the two pics re-published at the middle right, and my comments on the 'Catwoman' Film starring Halle Berry!

Some topics seem to never go out of fashion, and with the 'Dark Knight' Batman film coming out verrry soon, I guess 'Catwoman' is on the bloggers' minds also!

Tina and I are pleased to say that this blog is now currently averaging over 730 visitors a day, and that this Blog, (both versions), has had several new RSS subscribers so far this week!

Welcome aboard to all those new readers! We're glad you found us and want to read more in the days ahead from us by subscribing to our RSS feed!

Also our grateful thanks to our returning visitors!!!

For those that are new to us... we have an ongoing Pop Culture Convention - Comic Con here at Make It So Marketing, what with our daily blog posts and listings of items for sale!

Come back anytime! You are welcome to comment below when the comments option is open on the eBay blog version of our blog! (The non-eBay blog's comments are always open!)

Double The Fun!

At The SDCC  Comic Con International!

I checked the Comic Con web site this morning to see if their 2008 programming schedule was posted yet...

No, sorry to say it wasn't!

However that got me motivated to pull out our pre-ticket confirmations to make sure they were readily available to take and stand in line for 'Preview Night' in less than two weeks from now!

At the same time I came across some older promos and other items from earlier Comic Cons that I will be listing shortly in our eBay Featured Store!

Also I'm running a few more pics now and in the days to come of attendees of past SDCCs that came in costume for all to enjoy!

We just happen to have a few of the Elektra comics that the gals in the top right photo are dressed as, LOL!

We also have an ongoing Comic Con  and Pop Culture convention here at Make It So Marketing, what with our daily blog posts and listings of items for sale!

Thanks for reading this post today and please join us again!

Those Were The Adventures Of....

Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis!

While Tina and I are waiting for our next DVD set to come in to view, I rented one that I had some interest in but hadn't checked out since Tina didn't have any interest in seeing it...

We have only viewed 3 1/2 of the movies so far... but Tina says the voices of Irma, (of My Friend Irma fame), in the first two films and then of Jerry in the next two were 'grating' on her ears!

The DVD set  we (I) are watching right now is the 'Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis Collection' Volume One.

This isn't a review of the DVD set (yet), but just a blog on the fact that Dean and Jerry also had a comic book series!

If you are like Tina, you had no idea that there was one,  well actually two comic book titles from DC National Comics that featured Jerry Lewis!

After Dean and Jerry hit the big time in the movies, DC National Comics published a comic book series on their joint adventures that lasted for 5 years!

The only thing that broke up the title was Dean & Jerry's 'reel' life break up of their partnership.

So just a month later Jerry took over the comic book title which lasted for almost 14 more years!

I figure that just like Abbott & Costello, Laurel & Hardy, etc etc, Martin & Lewis would have to be an acquired taste.

I'll be blogging on the films after viewing the rest of the ones in the Volume One of the DVD set, but in the meantime wanted to blog about these 'Silver Age' and 'Bronze Age' Comic Book Titles!

We have an ongoing Comic Con  and Pop Culture convention here at Make It So Marketing, what with our daily blog posts and listings of items for sale!

Thanks for reading this post today and please join us again!

Yes, that's Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis pictured on the front cover of their first comic book for DC National Comics back in July/August 1952!

Their joint title lasted for 40 issues, ending in Octber of 1957.  After Dean & Jerry broke up as a team in real / 'reel' life, Jerry took over the comic book title on his own! His solo title lasted for 84 more issues, from November 1957 to the May/June 1971 last issue.

I remember having several of these to read, which was probably my first contact with Jerry's work before seeing his movies....

One of the pleasures of going to conventions is to look through the boxes of back issues for stories that have been reprinted, just for reading purposes, not for collecting!

After those issues are read, I place them in the eBay Featured store for others to enjoy!

Currently I am going through boxes of comics & mags about MoNSTer & HoRRoR Movies that I picked up to read over the years, and are now listing them for the first time!

We have an ongoing Comic Con  and Pop Culture convention here at Make It So Marketing, what with our daily blog posts and listings of items for sale!

So Who's

'Hot'

 In Our Archived Blog Posts

Right Now?

You Would Think It Would Be Will Smith In The Hancock Film From This July 4th Weekend...

Or Even The Dark Knight Film That Is Coming Out Soon...

But No... Once Again It Is...

Bettie Page!

Regular Readers of our Blog know that I check our Blog Stats at least daily to see which of our archived blog posts bloggers are viewing!

As of right now, the most viewed archived blog post we have, (out of over 1750 total), is the 'Notorious Bettie Page archived Blog post of ours!

That blog post has been  viewed by 6% of our most recent viewership.

It's been an archived blog post that is usually in our 'Top 20' of archived blogs post being viewed at any one time, unless there is a new movie out that everyone wants to read about!

So it would appear that this is a 'slow Wednesday', and bloggers are just checking out 'girls' instead of new movies or TV shows blogs for a change! LOL!

Tina and I are pleased to say that this blog is currently averaging over 730 visitors a day right now, and that this Blog, (both versions), has had several new RSS subscribers so far this week!

Welcome aboard to all those new readers! We're glad you found us and want to read more in the days ahead from us by subscribing to our RSS feed! Also thanks to our returning visitors!!!
