Kooky 'Kook' The Pig Had A Send Off Dinner.... From Porkyland, San Diego!
After Spending All Week At The 2008 SDCC Comic Con International!
Tina and my Annual Comic Con Closing Dinner takes place after 5:00 PM on the final day of the Con, Sunday. That is... sometime after 5:00 PM PST, as quite often we are carrying out boxes of last minute purchases from other dealers at the Con! This year we finished at 5:00 PM as our vehichle was full, and only room left for Kook! Since we eat just convention food all 5 days and nights except for snacks we bring in, we always leave Sunday Night for our Big Treat! Our three favorite End of Con Places to eat are: Fillippi's Pizza Grotto in Little Italy - Downtown San Diego if we get there early enough, Todai (sushi) in Mission Valley if we have enough time, or Porkyland if we are way tooo tired and just plain hungry! This year Kooky 'Kook' The Pig joined us at Porkyland... check out her expression in the top photo of this column for posted hours! She wanted to know if we really wanted to go in with her!!! For those of you new to this blog post series on Kooky 'Kook' the eBay Blog Pig, she was started by eBayer saenzmom in honor of fellow eBayer innerkookart! Kooky has had a great time with us and is winding down sharing her experiences at this convention with this, her next to last blog post... So sit back and enjoy the almost final photos in the right column from this blog post series! Note: You can 'right click' the photos, then copy and paste the 'properties' (url) of the pic to a new browser window, and then see larger photos of Kooky! For those of you interested in upcoming films and TV Show promotional items, we invite you to check back later on our blog posts when we'll be listing promotional items received at the programs and blogging about what we've seen there this year! Tina and I split up to take in more programs to blog about... EUReKA, Heroes, Lost, Terminator: Salvation, Twilights, and Red Sonja just to name a few!! BTW, We also have an ongoing Comic Con and Pop Culture convention here at Make It So Marketing, what with our daily blog posts and latest listings of items for sale! Thanks for reading this post today and please join us again for more... however we will be back to our regularly scheduled blog post of the programs and costumed characters we encountered during all 5 days and nights of the Comic Con after one final Kook blog post! Michael (Tina and Kooky!)
| Kooky 'Kook' The Pig and Tina outside of Porkyland in the Barrio Logan section of San Diego.... Kook was getting counseling on how to brave the stress of actually entering 'Porkland' by Tina. It took Kooky some time before she would enter, but she too was ravenous after eating only Convention Center food all week!
The photo to the top left is Kooky when the refried beans, Spanish rice, and tortillas came to the table! The photo to the right shows Kooky realizing she could eat everything except the 'carnitas', a fancy word for shredded pork! After almost being eaten by The Werewolf and The Cat at the Convention, (see previous blog posts), Kook was pleased that she didn't end up on the menu!
![]() Kooky 'Kook' The Pig realizing that the 'carnitas' plate is really 'shredded pork' and that Michael loved carnitas and tequila for dinner.... That's when she realized her flight to bushellcollectibles back on the East Coast was none too soon!
