Twilights Lights Up Fans at Comic Con! As Seen At The 2008 SDCC Comic Con International! All the "campers" who pulled an all-nighter outside the entrance to Comic Con's Hall H Wednesday night were there for "Twilight." My new line buddies quickly brought me up to speed on the four-book vampire series. Written by a Mormon woman, the Twilight books are romantic, not graphic, or so I was told by a woman whose daughter is crazy for them. The story revolves around a family of vampires (how sweet!) who no longer need human blood; they can satisfy their thirst with other animals. Young fans are agonizing over whether the teen heroine Bella will end up with the vampire boy or the werewolf boy. Ah, the joys of young love! The most important thing I learned from the Twilight movie panel was: Twilight fans emit a sound that only dogs should be able to hear. And, I think my line buddy was either lying to me or incredibly naive about what her teenage daughter reads because the Twilight trailer was extremely violent and sexually charged.
