TODAY'S FEATURE - Blog #3142:

Yes, this was another publication given to me at the recent 2010 Wizard World Anaheim Comic Con in Artists Alley for possible review in this blog!  As You can tell from earlier posts, I met a lot of comics creators in the Artists Alley!

So what's this comic book about?  Well, on the back of the comic book itself is the promo blurb as follows:

"Super Siblings is a dynamic, light-hearted and sometimes off-the-wall story of sibling rivalry.  Like every "tween-aged" brother and sister, Conrad and Courtney Clark often don't get along.  They like to argue, bicker and blame one another for common occurences at home.

Although their childhood may sound typical, the Clark children turn it up a notch with the use of super powers. What's more, not only rivals at home, they have unwittingly become archenemies in public.  Conrad a.k.a. Scout, uses his powers for good. Courtney a.k.a. Banshee, uses her powers for bad.  Hidden in plain sight their secret identities remain intact, and they never suspect one another."

And as for this issue #2 in particular:

"Super Siblings #2: Join the Super Siblings as they take on the Elementary Science Fair."

So what's 'My Take' on this B&W interior pages comic book?

Front Cover:  The front cover shows enough to entice a casual browser into picking it up to thumb through.

Inside Front Cover:  Is blank...(blank?)...Yes, blank!

Splash Page: Not used as a 'splash page'. Starts right in with the storyline for this issue.

The Rest of the Pages: The story continues on to the final page that ends at page number 12. This is a full and complete story with NO 'to be continued' ending.

Inside Back Cover:  Blank (Again!).

So, as far as I could tell from this comic book, it could be considered a type of 'promotional comic' for the web comic strip.  And No, that's not bad, as that is probably how the creator is monetizing his efforts.

So would I sign up after reading this comic book?

I did, and here's why.  Although the comic book is presented in more of a 'promotional' format, the storyline was an interesting read to me.  It's probably because of the characters, who are very well written!

Plus to see a complete story in just 12 pages...How often do I see that anymore?  Not that often, trust me!

This is a pretty good 'intro' for a new reader to enter this universe.

It's just that the 'packaging' of this publication could have been a little more 'polished' when printed in the 'comic book' presentation.

I would grade this Issue #2 as a 'Very Fine' (VF) 8.0 out of the 10.0 Grading Scale. The grade is for the 'total package' in this comic book format, not anything found on the web site.

Talking about the web site...there are actually several to choose from:

The Super Sibling Facebook Fan Page

SuperSiblingsComics.com

and the publisher's site: BansheeComics.com !

My thanks to Patrick Scullin, for submitting this comic book version of his web comic for possible review!
