The Deadly Black Widow
Was Tallulah Bankhead on The Batman TV Show!
Usually 'The Black Widow' is associated with the Marvel Superhero 'Daredevil', but in this case The Black Widow was on a DC Comics TV Show! This Black Widow was an evil villainess that turned men into 'mush' with a special brain short circuiter that she kept in her purse of all things! Of course she had an underground spider lair and did her best to catch Batman and Robin in her 'Black Widow's Web'! Tallulah was born in Huntsville, Alabama, on January 31, 1903. Thus she would have 63 years old during this episode! A little older than you would have thought for a sexy villainess at the time, but everyone who was someone was jockeying to be a villain(ess) on the Batman TV Show in 1966! For those interested in Batman comic books, we have several for sale in our eBay Featured Store ! Thanks for reading our pop culture - comics - comic book blog post today! Michael

The 4400 TV Show - USA Network - USA Today 03-10-08 NOTE: I look at our blog stats each day.... and for weeks now have seen our archived 4400 blog posts being viewed repeatedly. In this past weekend's USA Today there was a question asked in Robert Bianco's column 'News & Views'. It was asked if the write-in campaign to save The 4400 is working... Answer was ... "There's always a chance. Not a good one, but if you send a letter, you're only wagering 41 cents." For those that haven't see the efforts, look at SaveThe4400.com, and check out the YouTube Video! For Those that didn't know about the show being cancelled... here's the blog repost: Season 5 Is Cancelled
We first caught this show at the July 2007 San Diego Comic Con International, (SDCC), as we kept running into programs / panels that Ira Steven Behr was sitting on. Suffice to say that after seeing and hearing him so many times we decided to give this show a try... We rented the DVDs to catch up on previous seasons and enjoyed them. We were waiting for the next season to start, but found out during this vacation week that the show would not be coming back... It did seem strange when the Season Finale of Season 4 ended. Everything was wrapping up quickly. It almost seemed like a series finale, but nothing was announced. There was a lot of closure to sub plots which made seeing the Finale a must watch episode. However the TV Guide reports that this show and another (that we don't watch) are cancelled. This is a shame in my opinion, as The 4400 was a very good sci-fi show. For those of you that have not seen it, give it a try via DVD which is the best way to view this series. Our thanks to Ira Behr for turning us on to this series. And our thanks to the cast and crew for making this a fun series to watch! Michael (and Tina)
| The above is the video mentioned in our blog post to the left column. The top photo is Ira S Behr attending one of several panels at the SDCC 2007 - San Diego Comic Con International. The second photo showed several of the early cast members of this TV Series. For those interested in TV Show and Movie adaptations that were printed in comics format ... we have several comic books in our eBay Featured Comic Book Store . Just click on the link provided!
