New Movie Film Trailer This Week For...
Mood:  not sure
Topic: Comic Book Movies

The Incredible Hulk!

We have blogged before that the newest Hulk Film was in production. Even tho' Tina and I did not like the first film, nor have we been excited about the upcoming June Film from what we saw of it at the 2007 SDCC, we will still blog about it to see if merits viewing IOHO...

So, this week the first teaser trailer will make its' exclusive broadcast debut in a simultaneous showing on seven networks.

The broadcast will occur on this upcoming Wednesday, March 12th 2008.

This first opportunity to see scenes from the movie will be aired at approximately 9:56 p.m. EST/6:56 p.m. PST on MTV, MTVU, MTV2, VH1, Spike TV, Nick at Nite and CMT.

Then, following the on-air premiere, the trailer is to be immediately posted on MTV.com for an exclusive period of time.

The teaser trailer will then begin showing in theaters across the country on Friday, March 14, with prints of Rogue Pictures' "Doomsday."

FYI, we've been so busy blogging about the new Iron Man Film instead of this one, that we want to mention that "The Incredible Hulk" Film hits theaters worldwide on June 13, 2008.

Of course our own Hulk Comics listings can be seen by clicking the top right picture!

Jason Statham.... The Next One??
Mood:  quizzical
Topic: Comic Book Movies

Jason Statham

The Next Marvel Comics Film Superhero?

We have blogged here that a Namor the Sub-Mariner Movie Film was in the works...

There wasn't any discussion of it at the Marvel Comics Programs we attended at the SDCC 2007...

So info is coming out in bits and pieces!

Recently it was noted that Jason Statham was being considered for the title role...

He has mentioned that he is not for sure if he was right for the role... as it involves wearing a speedo and possbily the ankle wings as shown in the comics.

So, I've dug up a photo of him so you gals can imagine him as such... LOL!

Jason, who is more known for his 'Transporter' Film roles, would definitely be interested in a 'Crow' sequel, so we'll see how far the Sub-Mariner talks go!

Of course our own Sub-Mariner Comics listings can be seen by clicking the top right picture!

Iron Man

 Movie Film Poster Released!

This is the latest Iron Man Film Poster to be released!

Not as exciting a poster for fanboys like myself, but it appears to be more for a 'mainstream' type of audience.

Which is good marketing!

Tina and I are excited and looking forward to this movie being released May 2nd.... wahoo!

The film stars Robert Downey Jr, Terrence Howard, Gyneth Paltrow, Jeff Bridges and Shaun Toub!

Of course our own Iron Man Comics listings can be seen by clicking the top right picture of the Poster! Listings start at only 99cents!

His Looooong Arm Reaches Into Celebrity Apprentice!

His Looooong Arm

Reached Into Celebrity Apprentice TV Show this past week.

Due to the fact that there are soooo many TV Shows that we want to see on Thursday nights now, we don't get to see them all unless they are re-run quickly. We do view, tape, and check for later showings.

Thus we didn't see the latest installment of Donald Trump's 'Celebrity Apprentice' until yesterday evening.

Piers Morgan called upon his list of contacts to come to a special gallery showing of media.

The loooong arm of Ioan Gruffud showed up when his proxy appeared to purchase a painting on the behalf of Ioan!

Ioan Gruffud is better known as 'Mister Fantastic' of the Fantastic Four Films from Marvel Comics!

Of course this caught my attention real fast because I am such a Fantastic Four Comics Fan!

Our own FF Comics listings can bee seen by clicking the top right picture of Mr Fantastic himslef! Listings start at only 99cents!

Why Do 'They' Take So Long...
Mood:  caffeinated

...To Allow New Inductees Into The Rock And Roll Hall of Fame?

Tomorrow, Monday March 10th will see another Band enter into the Hall of Fame. It will be televised on the VH1 Classic Channel.

However, just a dozen days before the Dave Clark Five were to be inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, the lead singer of the DC5, Mike Smith died of pneumonia at age 64.

Mike Smith was the lead singer, keyboard player and chief co-writer of the DC5, who during their heyday were the chief rivals of the Beatles!

The DC5 had 16 Top 30 Hits from 1964 - 1967 and 13 Record Albums during this same period! It is estimated that this group sold 100 million records!

During this period I was up in Kodiak Island, Alaska, and this band was bigger than the Stones, (quite possibly due to the quiet censorship on the airwaves...)

I was not aware of Mike Smith having a spinal cord injury in 2003, which had left him paralyzed below the rib cage... Mike had developed a chest infection, and now has passed away from pneumonia.

Once again the 'Music Industry'  has waited too long to 'validate' one of their top acts in the biz.

Why such a loooong waiting time passes before these and other people are recognized? The life spans of several entertainers are truly shortened by their lifestyles, long before the qualifying period is over. What good is there for the entertainers in recognizing them after they are gone...??
