This is for you 1960's Batman TV Show fans!

DC Direct is working on a Batmobile Statue based on the classic George Barris design!

It is said to be a realistic statue complete with working lights!

For you youngsters, there is a pic of the Classic Batmobile at the top right with Robin and Batman!

We have been blogging so much about the upcoming Iron Man Film being released May 2nd 2008, that we have been neglecting Speed Racer's Film due out the following week on May 9th 2008!

AGAIN!

Regular Readers of our Blog know that I check our Blog Stats daily and sometimes find out that something has happened or is happening or upcoming because of all the views of the archived blog posts about that person or character!

Yesterday this one was stumping me!

Our archived blog posts on Laura Vandervoort yesterday and today is reaching 20% of our blog viewership... and I have found out where she will be appearing at soon!

Laura Vandervoort will be appearing at Grand Slam XVI: The Sci-Fi Summit at the Burbank Airport Marriott Hotel which runs from April 11th - 13th! Laura is shown to be there Saturday only (but schedules are subject to change!)

NOTE: Please be aware that the company that is presenting this con has different pricing tiers for admission, signatures and special events pricing fees. i.e. Leonard Nimoy's signature is sold separately for $60, and not part of any package... so Laura's @$20 additional is a lot less!

ECBACC is an acronymn for East Coast Black Age of Comics Convention...

And Nell 'Fat Momma' Wilson will be there!

The Convention will be held May 16 - 17th in Philadelphia, PA!

What are the goals of the convention?

To promote literacy and creativity in youth through comic book writing and drawing workshops.

To offer audiences exposure to some of the leading Black artists in the comic book industry.

To provide outstanding Black writers and artists with a prominent showcase for their talents and the opportunity to engage in networking with their peers.

To promote positive Black images.

ECBACC celebrates the accomplishments that Black artists have made in the comic book industry through engaging and exciting programs which include:

Discussions, Panels, workshops and book signings
Animations
Performing arts
A comic book market place

At the top right is Fat Momma who was featured on the cover of 'Large In Charge' magazine back in 2007!
