Season Finale Tonight
Mood:  d'oh
Topic: TV Shows

It's The

Season Finale

 Tonight

For 'New Amsterdam' TV Show On The Fox Network!

Ever since the WGA Strike affected our viewing habits, I have been hesitant to blog about midseason TV Shows.

Indeed when this show first came out, I couldn't make up my mind to like or dislike the show...

However after several episodes have aired I am now ready to recommend viewing this show... just in time for Monday Night's Season Finale for this show!

What a TV Season this has been! LOL! However you can still view the full eight episodes on the Show's web site!

My hesitancy was because the show's similar to a few I've liked in the past, but it does pander to the current fixation on TV of showing dead bodies over and over... which Tina and I personally don't like to watch. We watch TV for escapism not for dead bodies...

However the background to show is a good one, and the producers have fleshed this show out over the abbreviated season.

What's It about???

The main character is John Amsterdam, (played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), who saves the life of a Native American girl when Manhattan Island was 'New Amsterdam' and owned by Dutch.

The girl in turn gives him immortality through a spell in order to save his life...

Okay... well here is the twist to this show... John Amsterdam will not age until he finds his one true love! Oh yeah... at which point he will become mortal again and can die!

So the show is about a 400 year old man who has lived multiple occupations and had many families during that time. Sounds convoluted but it is fun watching the story unfold in today's world with flashbacks from his past!  And Nikolaj is similar to David Boreanz's style if you like him...

Other than the dead bodies, because he's currently a New York Homicide Detective, the show is pretty darn good!

Above are the main cast of the New Amsterdam TV Show which has only 8 episodes in its' initial run. (l-r) Stephen Henderson as Omar who is John's son, Zuleikha Robinson as Eva who is John's new partner, Nikolaj Coster Waldau as John, and Alexie Gilmore who is thought to be John's real love who would make him mortal!

James Bond 007 Girls!

James Bond 007 Girls!

Femme Fatales IS the magazine that celebrates the alluring women of film, television and pop culture!

It prints in depth articles with more sexy photos per page than any magazine of its kind on the market today.

The magazine is one that collectors enjoy for the theme issues, such as the 007 Bond Girls issue shown to the top right.

Femme Fatales magazine has been celebrating the alluring women of film and television for well over a decade now and is published / collected by volume & number. We have listed them that way for handy reference in our eBay Store.
Since it was first introduced as a companion magazine to CFQ (Cinefantastique) Magazine, Femme Fatales has explored the “Scream Queens” from Linnea Quigley to Brinke Stevens, as well as the “classic fatales” of the Fifties, Sixties and Seventies, from Racquel Welch, Diana Rigg, Marilyn Monroe and Ingrid Pitt to Caroline Munro and Sybil Danning!
Since then the magazine has branched out to include modern fatales like Traci Lords, Jennifer Garner, Rebecca Romijn, Scarlett Johansson, Elvira and a whole lot more!!

For those of you new to us, we have an ongoing comics and pop culture convention here at Make It So Marketing, what with our daily blog posts and listings of items for sale!

No Longer Dazzling...

No Longer Dazzling...

The Dazzler?

I have blogged about the possibility of The Dazzler being in a theatrical film back in the year 2007...

Jessica Biel was first being considered for The Dazzler role, then she was considered for the Wonder Woman role in that same named film...

As of today there hasn't been any new info on this once considered film project.

So at times like these... this is the best time for speculators to buy when listings are cheap!

I still remember when Bronze Age HoRRoR titles were in the quarter bin... and you may know how those purchases would have turned out!

Then again... would a disco superhero ever make it in today's world???

They say everything goes in 20 year cycles, so maybe The Dazzler is soon to hit the Big Time again???!!  LOL!
