Forbidden Kingdom

Jackie Chan AND Jet Li!

April 18th will be the release date for Jackie Chan's next movie!

Also headlining with Jackie is Jet Li!

The film is about an American teen who travels back to ancient China to join a crew of warriors who are on a quest to free the imprisoned 'Monkey King'!

Say What???!!!

We have watched 'The Myth', one of Jackie's recent films and this sounds like a similar time travel pic.

However it is Jackie and with Jet Li, it's gotta be at least watchable... if not good!

Was At Planet Comic Con 2008!

Kenny Baker, the actor who portrayed R2-D2 in the Star Wars Films was at the 2008 Planet ComicCon!

The convention was held April 5th - 6th at the Overland Park International Trade Center in Overland Park, Kansas.

Charlton Heston Passed Away This Weekend...

(Repost Note: Just finished having an early lunch and saw three networks still having this as feature news, so thought I would repost it as we just found out yesterday...)

Charlton Heston Passes...

During trips we sometimes miss what's going on...

Yesterday while we were flying back home from the East Coast, Charlton Heston passed away at the age of 84.

I personally enjoyed many of his movies during his long career. Tina and I recently viewed the 'I Am Legend' DVD, which was a remake of Heston's 'The Omega Man' in 1971.

One of my personal faves was his starring role in the first of 'The Planet Of The Apes' Films in 1968.

Our condolences to his family, he will be missed...

More Wolverine Film Casting!

Wolverine

Film Casting Announced!

We have blogged about Tina's being excited about Hugh Jackman's portrayal of Wolverine in his upcoming solo film!

Now comes word that Wolverine, (a.k.a. Weapon X), will be joined by Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds), Gambit (Taylor Kitsch), and Wraith (Willl.i.am of Black Eyed Peas)!

While back East this past week, we watched one of Hugh's non-superhero films, 'Kate and Leopold' again, this time with one of Tina's nieces, and remembered how good he was in that film! I too am looking forward to the solo Wolverine film!
