Lookin' Like SUPERMAN That Is!

Each Convention Season we have been posting pics of fans that have stood out in costumes at different cons during the past years...

Because one of the fun things to do at pop culture or comic book conventions is to either dress up like your favorite comic book character or TV Show / Movie Star...

The Superman fan to the top right came well dressed for the part!

It is great that more and more fans are coming to the cons dressed up, and not just for the masquerades shows!

ShoWest, THE event for Movie Theater Owners and Film Distributors named Robert Downey Jr as the 'Male Star Of The Year'!

This should definitely help promote the upcoming May 2nd Film Release of Iron Man!

Our congrats to Robert Downey Jr, who we both feel embodies the Tony Stark of the Iron Man Comics!

The New X-Files Film Poster!

The New X-Files Film Poster!

(Note: This blog post was generated while on our recent out-of-state trip and may be slightly out of date.)

On March 28th the first Film Poster for the upcoming X-Files sequel hit the movie theaters!

As of that date (3-28-08), the sequel still had NO title!

It's currently called 'Untitled X-Files Motion Picture'!

The film will be released 7-25-08 and of course stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson.

They'll be chasing monsters, NOT aliens per Frank Spotnitz, the film's co-writer and co-producer.

Charlton Heston Passes....

Charlton Heston Passes...

During trips we sometimes miss what's going on...

Yesterday while we were flying back home from the East Coast, Charlton Heston passed away at the age of 84.

I personally enjoyed many of his movies during his long career. Tina and I recently viewed the 'I Am Legend' DVD, which was a remake of Heston's 'The Omega Man' in 1971.

One of my personal faves was his starring role in the first of 'The Planet Of The Apes' Films in 1968.

Our condolences to his family, he will be missed...

Who Played R2-D2

Will Be At Planet Comic Con 2008!

Kenny Baker, the actor who portrayed R2-D2 in the Star Wars Films will be at the 2008 Planet ComicCon!

The convention is being held April 5th - 6th at the Overland Park International Trade Center in Overland Park, Kansas.
