So Who's HOT Tonight In Our Archived Blog Posts? 04-23-08
Mood:  d'oh
Topic: Other Movie Genres

So Who's

'Hot'

In Our Archived Blog Posts Tonight???

None Other Than...

Jennifer Connelly!

The regular Readers of our Blog know that I check our Blog Stats daily!

Tonight it is 'Jennifer Connelly's Night to be 'Hot' because right now her archived blog post of 02-15-08 is reaching 5% of our blog viewership!

In that blog post I blogged that Jennifer had joined the cast of the upcoming sci-fi movie 'The Day The Earth Stood Still, which years ago had been a 'HOT' movie!

I don't always like remakes of films, TV shows or retcons of comic books... as most of the time they don't work for me, i.e. 'Lost In Space' film, 'Wild Wild West' film, etc etc...

Will have to check out the other blogs tonight to see what's up on this movie, that is causing interest in our archived blog post on Jennifer to pick up today!

For those new to us... we have ongoing pop culture - comics convention here at Make It So Marketing, what with our daily blog posts and listings of items for sale!

Thanks for reading this popular culture - comics - comic books blog post and come back to visit us again!

Jennifer Conelly is a cast member of the upcoming movie.  I have enjoyed seeing Jennifer's roles since the 'Rocketeer' movie... but heck, another remake of an old sci-fi movie ? Sheesh

To Boldly Go Where No Turtle Has Gone Before!!

Star Trek: TMNT Style!

Now that's something I've never seen before!

When my sons were younger we used to watch the TMNT cartoons on TV together, and of course I'm a Star Trek Fan!

But having the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles wear Star Trek (STOS) uniforms is a wild and crazy idea!

And I like it!

For those of you new to us, we have an ongoing pop culture - comics convention here at Make It So Marketing, what with our daily blog posts and listings of items for sale!

So Who's 'The Greatest American Hero'?
Mood:  quizzical
Topic: TV Shows

So Who's

'The Greatest American Hero'?

Well, personally I would choose 'Ben Grimm' aka 'The Thing' from the Fantastic Four, but it would appear that another party has already taken 'The Title' of the Greatest American Hero!

That would be Ralph Hinkley (played by William Katt) on the 1981-83 TV Show, 'The Greatest American Hero'!

This show also starred Robert Culp as an FBI Agent, and Connie Selleca as lawyer Pam Davidson.

Connie was the real reason I watched the show, as I liked her since seeing her on 'Flying High' TV Series from 1978-79!

Plus Robert Culp added some 'realism' to the show!

So, sorry Ben Grimm... looks like Ralph Hinkley beat you to the title of 'The Greatest American Hero'... which anyone can now see by viewing the DVDs of the 3 seasons!

Stan Lee To Collaborate On A Manga Project!

Stan Lee To Collaborate On A Manga Project!

So What's Stan lee up to now?

Well for one thing, Stan Lee is actually teaming up with VIZ Media to help debut the prologue chapter of Viz's ULTIMO (otherwise known as KARAKURIDÔJI ULTIMO)!

What's that you say?  Well, the 32 page prologue will debut in a special April 2008 issue of the Japanese manga magazine 'Jump SQ.'.

We don't mention manga here very much, so what 'Jump SQ.' actually is, it's the 'sibling publication' of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump!

Ok, so what's that? Well historically that has been the best selling manga magazine in Japan!

This special project that Stan is involved in, is a stand-alone issue called Jump SQ.II.

Quoting Stan now.. he says, "I am deeply honored for this great opportunity to collaborate with an award-winning artist/writer of the stature of Hiroyuki Takei. I enthusiastically expect that the combination of an American story-telling style merged with Takei-san's acclaimed Japanese style will result in our joint creation 'ULTIMO' presenting an original, exciting type of manga that will appeal to comic book fans around the world."

Stan was never one for short phrases!

So for you Stan Lee fans, take a look at this manga project and let us know what you think of it!

Wonder Woman At NYCC 2008 ?

Wonder Woman

At

NYCC 2008?

As mentioned in a previous blog post or two, one of the fun things to do at pop culture or comic book conventions is to dress up like your favorite comic book character or TV Show / Movie Star...

Well, the NYCC Comic Con 2008 attendee to the top right did just that when she came as Wonder Woman!

That's right!  This is NOT a blog post with a pic of Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman for a change, LOL!

It is great that more and more fans are coming to the cons dressed up, and not just for the masquerades shows!

We'll be sure to catch up with more pics this ongoing convention season to post here!

For those of you new to us, we also have an ongoing pop culture - comics convention here at Make It So Marketing, what with our daily blog posts and listings of items for sale!
