They Say The 'Golden Age' Of Comics Ended...
... in the mid 1950's! Well, believe me when I say that today has to be the 'New Golden Age' due to all the choices a comic book reader or collector has today! I have bemoaned the lack of comics geared to younger kids to be found at bookstores or at the LCBS but every so often another book of collected classics will be printed! In this case I am referring to the upcoming July 23rd publication of Harvey Classics Library Volume 4 in Trade PaperBack format! This full color 480 page tpb reprints OOP stories from my 'Golden Age' of Comics. Even though the sticker price is $19.95, that is in line with other publications of this nature. The average cost of a new comic book on the stands is $2.99 or more, so this should be a value to introduce your kids to Baby Huey, OR remind you of those days gone by!
