300 th Review !
Mood:  a-ok

We Finished Posting Our

300th Review...

And Are Asking For YOUR Review Now!!

We just finished watching another movie last night, which when we added it to our eBay 'Reviews' today put us up to 300 total reviews!

Currently we have 216 DVDs reviewed, plus 15 VHS, 7 CDs, and 62 books.

We started late in doing this, but decided that since we see so many movies, and read so many books that we should put a 'review' on the ones that are 'pop culture' related to go with our blog and store!

Yes, since our sales niche is 'comic book related', we have a lot of comic book movies or books on comics reviewed, BUT we also have reviews on 'chick flicks' as Tina tries to balance out the 'action movies' viewing with other movies!

In our eBay Blog we have published 'Our Take' on TV shows like American Idol, Lost, Heroes, and others, which many of you have enjoyed, so thought today we would bring this other review side of us to you!

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and hopefully get something out of the reviews you may look at!

Jericho - TV Show

It's not the end of the world  Network picks up "Jericho"

06-07-07

It's Not The End of The World ?!

Vote Early & Vote Often!

We say "Hurrah" to CBS for reviving "Jericho," the post-nuclear war 'family' show set in Kansas.  After suffering through the swift cancellations of several shows we'd been enjoying (Studio 60, Invasion, Surface), we're delighted to see the network give "Jericho" a second chance.

Since the cancellation was announced, fans have been beseiging CBS with calls, emails and, most appropriately, tons of nuts.  (If you don't understand the "nuts" reference, watch the planned "reintroduction" reruns this summer.)

CBS will re-introduce the show in summer reruns.  If you haven't seen it, check it out.  While the main family's story is a little cloying for my taste, the conspiracy thread about who really set off the bombs, and the mysterious new family in town, sure had me guessing.

The best thing about this reversal is that a network has second guessed their too-quick decision.  Do you realize that if "Seinfeld" had debuted in 2006, it would have been cancelled before Christmas?!

Walt Disney Productions and Stan (The Man) Lee Together ??!!

Stan  ( X-Men )  Lee

and Disney Productions !

Yesterday Walt Disney Studios, which is a unit of The Walt Disney Co., announced that  it signed an exclusive multi-year deal with Stan (The Man) Lee!
Stan Lee is the co-creator of the Amazing Spider-Man and is the  co-producer of the Spider-Man  3 movie and also the head of his production company POW! Entertainment Inc. among other current activities.

Per the publicity, under the terms of the deal, Stan Lee and his company will develop and produce 'all forms of entertainment', the Walt Disney unit said in a statement.

Stan Lee is regarded as the 'creator and inventor' of the 'modern day superhero with angst'.  It is his body of work and compelling characters that he co-created that helped revolutionize the comic book industry and now the movie entertainment industry that is bringing several of his co-creations to film at last!

The publicity cites that some of his most enduring characters include Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men and The Fantastic Four.
The success of the characters  have finally transcended the comic book genre into successful films...

I have enjoyed Stan Lee's super-hero endeavors ever since  reading my first Fantastic Four superhero comic book, issue #3 back in 1962.... (see pic to the right), and have had the pleasure of meeting and having Stan personalize my comics several times at the SDCC during the years gone by, (pic top right for one photo op).

For those interested in Marvel Superhero comic books, we have a store full  in our eBay Featured Store and eBay Pro Store. If you are interested in Fantastic Four comics, just click on the comic book cover to the right l
