I Have Found EUReKA !

I caught a 'preview' showing of this Tuesday's (July 31st) episode at the San Diego Comic Con International...  

I Won't reveal any spoilers but I will tell you that I loved 'EUReKA' !

What A Show: playful, intelligent and appropriate for the whole family.

What a SDCC Comic Con find!

If you haven't seen EUReKA yet, check it out on Tuesday the 31st of July on the SCI-FI Channel.

If you're already a fan, you'll want a '2007 Summer Catalog' of productgs 'Made In EUReKA'.  This fun, faux catalog features pictures and descriptions for EUReKA inventions like the 'Cyro Kennel', Thought Messenger Earpiece', and 'Short Range Personality Scanner'.

SDCC / Comic Con

Exclusives & Promo Items Now Listed!

One of the few benefits of being in line at 6:45 in the morning each day for four days...  to attend the San Diego Comic Con International (SDCC), was that we were able to attend several programs that those that waited until 10:00 am or even later were not able to get into!

To the right is one of the Exclusives that had the SDCC seal to show it was only available at the Comic Con!

Those of you that have watched the 'Heroes' TV Show this past year will recoginize several scenes on the comic book cover!

That is just one of the Exclusives I have listed today, and also have added some other SDCC promo items in our auctions or fixed priced listings.  I will be adding more to our eBay Featured Store in the days to come, so be sure to check our blog posts later!!

We're Back!

And We Have A Lot To Blog About! 

We left early on Wednesday July 25th.... to stand in line at the San Diego Convention Center to obtain our 4 day full membership badges.  We had to be there for the 'Preview Night' at the LARGEST North American Comic Book / Popular Arts Convention!

Starting Thursday morning, we had to arrive by 6:30 a.m. for a parking spot each day for us to obtain parking each day. Otherwise there would be no underground parking at the convention center for easy access to pack purchases in our vehicle!

The exhibit floor and the program rooms didn't open until 10:00 a.m. each day, but each year the undergrond parking structure gets filled earlier and earlier!

The photo to the top right is Tina and myself standing in front of a large banner that features the logo of the SDCC.

We actually attended more programs then ever before this year! For us to be able to attend the ones we REALLY wanted to see, we had to sit in one or more programs prior to the program we wanted to see.  The reason for this, is that the rooms were not cleared between programs!

The largest room, Room H, could only hold 7,000 persons at one time, and there were defintely over 125,000 attendees this year!!

As a matter of fact, FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, The 4-day memberships were SOLD OUT before the Con started, the brand new 3-day memberships were also sold out as time progressed, AND the single day memberships for Friday, Saturday AND Sunday were ALL sold out!!!  Persons showing up for single day tickets were turned away!! This had never happened before, and I'm wondering what kind of bad press the Con received because of this...???

We of course bought our memberships for next year's 2008 Con in advance, but the cost of that is no longer half-price for buying a year early!!  This Comic-Con is getting to be a very large business concern, and possibly upping the price is the only way to cut back on over-crowding??!

This year we both attended different programs, and then attempted to join up for programs we both wanted to see where possible!

So there will be plenty of photos, (over 300 pics taken this year), and text in the upcoming blog posts from Make It So Marketing!

We will have blogs on several of our favorite TV shows, like 'Lost', 'Heroes', '24', 'Jericho' and more!

PLUS blogs on programs of new shows like 'Bionic Woman', etc.

AND, our thoughts on the upcoming movies like IRON MAN, Hulk '2', and a lot more!  Also this year we will be including blog posts  by my youngest son who is pictured with Tina and myself at the middle right!

Just wanted you all to know we were back safely, but tired!! PLUS, we have several SDCC items we obtained at the Comic Con that we will be listing!  We even stopped at the CGC booth to submit some for their third party grading!

I Have Blogging Withdrawals!! 

I Celebrated My  Birthday  On 07-24-07 Tuesday!

Yes, that's correct.... I turned 'Double Nickles' yesterday and 'celebrated' my latest birthday by invoicing, wrapping and then shipping several orders that came in the day before our going to Preview Night at the San Diego Comic Con International (SDCC)!

What with shipping the orders to keep our feedback on a 100% +fb course, and packing our car with comic boxes and travel bags for today's start of the SDCC, I had no time to blog... at all !! 

My birthday blog post, which I had started the day before, didn't get finished, and it would be silly to post it today!  So I have 'blog withdrawals' from not posting or reading blogs at all yesterday!!   LOL !!

This Year, Tina's  birthday 'gift' to me is to go to the SDCC for ALL 4 1/2 days and nights with me!   Add to that, my youngest son is staying with us for the whole week, and is attending all the days and nights too!  So the SDCC should be even bettter this year as I'll have 'company' with me each day!!  (As if the 123,000 attendees that were there last year aren't enough 'company' to have already!!

So, since the SDCC lineup is starting early this afternoon for 'early birds' attending the Preview Night and then continues day and night until Sunday night, this will be the last post for the rest of the week!!

This blog hit the 12,000 mark in 'visitors' earlier this morning before I signed on... Thank you ALL for making this a well read blog, Tina and I appreciate it!

Until Monday, when we start reporting back on programs that we attended at the SDCC, and start listing new items that we picked up at the Con for sale.... Have a great week / weekend!

Tina at  the SDCC Int'l in 2003.  She would hardly wait to have her picture taken before rushing in to attend the next TV Show special program!!   THIS year the programs she wants to see are spread around all four days of program scheduling, instead of the 'Hollywood Saturday' theme the SDCC has been doing the last several years. So She is attending all 4 1/2 days to see the casts and crew of her favorite TV Shows!!

2:45-4:00 Chuck Screening and Q&A

Coming this fall to NBC and one of the most talked-about new series of the upcoming television season, Chuck is a comedic spy thriller that follows a regular help-desk worker who must save the world after downloading the CIA’s database into his brain.

Talk to executive producers Josh Schwartz (The O.C.) and McG (Supernatural), co-executive producer Chris Fedak, and cast members after a premiere screening of the pilot.

Coming this fall to NBC, Chuck is produced by College Hill Pictures, Wonderland Sound and Vision in association with Warner Bros. Television. Room 6B
