This Is What Galactus Really Looks Like!

In 3rd Place This Weekend:

  Fantastic Four 2:

Rise of the Silver Surfer ! !

"Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer" dropped to the No. 3 spot at the weekend box office. The weekend's top films were:

Evan Almighty grossing $32.1 million, '1408' at $20.17 million, Fantastic Four 2 at $20.15 million, Ocean's 13 at $11.3 million, and Knocked Up at $10.6 million.  Both 'Evan Almighty' and Angelina Jolie's new movie 'A Mighty Heart' were considered box office opening duds, as Jolie's film debuted at $4 million in ticket sales.

For those that missed our earlier blog post when the FF movie first came out, I wanted to show those that were disappointed in the 'clouds' being the threat called 'Galactus' in the movie the 'real' Galactus.

To the left is the cover of issue #75 of the Fantastic Four comic book. The Silver Surfer is at the bottom right of the cover.  Above him is the giant head of 'Galactus' who was personified as being a god-like being in the comics.   Galactus was a couple hundred feet tall and not a 'cloud-like' being in the comics. Sometimes the producers or directors or writers of the movie just don't get it right!

    And Now....

'Our Take' On the New FF 2 Movie !

Here's our thoughts on the movie with a  SPOILER WARNING!!!!!!!!!!

If You have NOT yet seen the movie & Don't Want to Know the Plot or Ending, DON'T READ BELOW THIS LINE ! :

Best  Movie Scene

Attack on top of Baxter Building during Wedding!

Sue Storm & the Silver Surfer meeting and talking in the forest.

The multiple times the Thing & the Torch banter and bicker with each other... I can't get enough of this. Director Tim Story's best angle!

Worst Scene

Galactus portrayed as a 'cloud' being

Johnny Storm tries to 'pick up' the Army girl.

Galactus not personified, but portrayed as a 'cloud being'

Best Battle Scene in Movie

Attack on the rooftop during the wedding of Reed & Sue at the beginning.

Torch follows the Surfer the first in the movie, through the tunnels, around and through buildings etc.

The FF versus the Silver Surfer in the Fantasti-Car at the Wall of China. The Fantasti-Car then splits up into 3 sections. This was cool looking Fantasti-Car even though I love the cover of FF #3 with the original 'flying bathtub' look of the car.

Favorite Line In Movie

(Didn't Have One)

Sue says to Reed, "I'm so hot for you', and Johnny puts his arm on Reed and says 'me too!"

So many good linesactually!  I also like the 'so hot for you' lines, and also the security person telling Stan Lee that he is not on the wedding guest list!

Overall Grade

A  He really liked this movie!

A-   She enjoyed the Silver Surfer portrayal.

A-    The Thing and the Torch were portrayed right on again!  Reed was a little more human this time and more super-heroic. Sue just still isn't right for me. The Silver Surfer rocks!  Galactus...(censored)... well I can't print here what I really think, but it isn't good!

The above are our thoughts on this new Fantastic Four  comic book Film!
