Virtual Visitors Have Viewed Our Blog Posts So Far!

We hit the 32,000th mark of visitors with a little over 100,000 page views at 16:54 PM PDT today, November 29th, with a view of our  October 3rd 2007 blog post titled 'Misssstress of the Dark - Elvira!'. This blog post was viewed by a Canadian blogger!

However, in preparation for this blog post, I have noticed that a few of those visitors have been 'spammers', and they are placing their spamming 'made in China and we have it for you cheap' comments on our blog posts.
We have both reported and deleted these in the past to eBay, and the spammers accounts are shut down, but unfortunately eBay does not delete their comments, so the NARU'd eBayers' comments are left on our blog posts! Plus the spammers just open new accounts to continue spamming...
Thus, for now, we have turned off the ability to leave comments, due to the spammers spraying their graffitti all over our blog posts! We still have several more to review and clean up...
Our apologies for those that have left actual comments on our blog posts in the past and would have wished to continue to do so... !

For those bloggers that are new to us, here is a little Background on our Blog:

This Blog started June 7th 2006 shortly after eBay announced the new blogging format.

July 15th 2006 we added on a stats counter as we found most viewers read but didn't comment and we wanted to know if we were being 'read'!

We also started expanding our pop culture topics as we found that more and more bloggers finding us enjoyed several of the TV Shows that we also enjoyed. Thus 'Our Take' on episodes on TV Shows that we watch was born!

We want to thank ALL of you for stopping in and visiting our Blog today. If there are topics we don't discuss but could fit our pop culture - comic books related theme, feel free to email us!

To view our recent blog posts, just click on the 'squares' in the left column to view those topics!

Regarding our archived blog posts: Please be aware that eBay techs have revised the blogging format, thus our archived posts may be distorted to read... sorry about that but it is out of our control here!

Thanks for reading this popular culture - comics - comic books blog post!

Guide to Business Gift-Giving

by Tina LoSasso

Anyone braving the shopping malls during the holiday season knows that finding the perfect gift for family or friends is not easy.

Business gift-giving can be even more challenging. Choosing the right business gift requires more time and thoughtfulness. How do you go about selecting exactly the right gift for that important client?  Here are some time-honored rules of thumb from the new sales advice book, Top Dog Sales Secrets.

• Men love gadgets, toys and food.  Think of the latest electronics, or a clever desktop novelty.

High-quality pens, nuts or jellybeans also score highly with men.

Cigars are a great idea if you know he smokes them.

Once again, think quality, not quantity. It’s far better to send a few of the very best than a box of duds he will throw away.

The above is from Tina's new book that is titled: 'Top Dog Sales Secrets' and we now have a few more copies listed for sale in our eBay Featured Store!

We've made it easy for you eBayers to buy this newly published book. Just click on the book cover at the top left to buy a copy with the 'Buy It Now' feature!

Click here to see OUR Westerns listings!

What I liked about Dell Comic Books was that so many of their TV Show issues had photo covers of the Star(s) of The Show, such as the one pictured above with my favorite girl singer of the early 1960's, Annette Funicello!

To see our western comic books for sale, just click on the comic book cover above!

Zorro TV Show

Starring Guy Madison!

The Zorro TV Show had a strange history in that it was both featured  as a TV series, and a few hour long shows on the Disney show on ABC!

This TV Show aired from 1957  to 1959 on the ABC Network. Then Zorro was on the Disney Show in 1960 and 1961 as 4 one hour long shows.

The TV series itself  had 78 episodes during its' run.

Almost everyone knows the story of Zorro, but a lot of people don't know that Annette Funicello, another Disney Star, was on Season 2 of the TV Show as 'Anita Cabrillo'.

I myself missed most of the episodes, as they were on Thursday nights at 8pm, so my folks must have been watching either 'December Bride' or the 'Ed Wynn Show'?

Anyway, I still have several of my Annette collectibles, but never did get the above comic book to add to my collection!

Supposedly the TV Show ended due to a dispute between ABC and Disney!

Have Gun, Will Travel

Starring Richard Boone!

No, It's NOT the title of a terrorist TV Show or even a James Bond Film!

This TV Show aired from 1957  to 1963 on CBS.

The show lasted for 225 episodes, reaching the #4 top show per the Nielsen Ratings its' first year, and was #3 for the next three years. Westerns were really popular on TV back then!

The show followed the adventures of Paladin, who was a gentleman turned gunfighter.

We never learned his name, but in the first episode of the final season, we learned his origin!

This gunfighter came with his own calling card, the 'Knight' of the chessboard.

Indeed the theme song refers to him as a 'knight without armor'!
