'Nuts'

Maybe No Jericho At All Now...

With the Writers' Strike now in its' third day, more shows are being re-thought as all sides are using bravado inside of common sense...

Hang in there! We'll be blogging about it again shortly!

Jane Russell's Dress In Son Of Paleface

Is On Exhibit At the

Autry Center In Los Angeles

For those that don't remember Jane in this dress, it could be because she was usually wearing her Black Cowgirl outfit most of the scenes in this movie. After all, she was one of the 'bad guys'!

The 'case' this dress is displayed in is not part of the special Gene Autry exhibition at the Autry National Center that is being shown
between now and January 13, 2008.

The 'case' is in a top floor gallery of the Museum that has a few 'cases' of TV Westerns and Movie memorabilia on regular display.

This is normally the only gallery room that the 'myth' of the Old West is shown at the museum along with the 'reality' featured in the other galleries!

For those visiting the Los Angeles metro area up to January 13th, 2008 this would be one of the better attractions in that area for Western fans.

The Centennial Exhibition on Gene Autry will be running thru that date, with certain days closed for the holidays of course.

Tina, my uncle and I just saw this exhibition on Saturday November 3rd for the first time, and recommend the Gene Autry Exhibition at the Autry National Center for Old West fans.

You can learn more about the hours and the admission prices at the web site autrynationalcenter.org.

Personally, my interest in the museum is in the 'myth' of the Old West. So I made sure we saw this gallery on this trip!

As you can tell by the comics we have in the eBay Featured Store, I am a Wild Wild West TV Westerns and Western Comics Fan.

"Our Take"

On The

11-05-07 Episode

Journeyman is a New NBC Show that airs on Monday Nights at 10 PM, After 'Heroes'.

Tina and I already blogged our thoughts about the Pilot Episode ...  click here to see !

SPOILER WARNING! Don't read the following if you don't want to know what happened this episode!

This episode has Dan Vasser going back in time to save... himself!

Appears he stopped the killing of a witness and in doing so, dropped his press pass so the would be killers could track him down back in 1999!

Dan also realizes that this was the night that he and his wife realized they had a bond, that blossomed into love and then marriage. Dan has messed this night up and must fix that too!

While Dan is busy in the past, his brother Jack has found the stash of money Dan has brought back with him from the past. Jack has a bill traced and is visited by the FBI. When Jack is pressured he gives his brother up in the final scene!

Next week's preview shows the FBI en masse coming to Dan's house!

John Wayne

Exhibit At the

Autry Center

I have blogged previously about the special Gene Autry exhibition at the Autry National Center that is being shown
between now and January 13, 2008.

For those visiting the Los Angeles metro area during that time this would be one of the better attractions in that area for Western fans.

Personally, my interest in the museum is in the 'myth' of the Old West. So I made sure we saw this gallery on this trip!

The Duke has a 'case' of items from his western movie days. Besides one sheet posters, there is also a few of the costumes he wore. See above top left for photo.

As you can tell by the comics we have in the eBay Featured Store, I am a Wild Wild West TV Westerns and Western Comics Fan.

OMAC

OMAC Was Jack Kirby's mid 1970's vision of the Future in a comic book series.

One of the great things about attending comic book conventions, is that we are able to pick up complete sets of comic book series from other dealers that we can buy, read and enjoy,  then list in our eBay store for others to obtain at reasonable prices.

The OMAC (One Man Army Corps) series by Jack Kirby is one that we have never read in its' complete run.  With having the complete run now to read at one sitting, it is very interesting on how the 'King of Comics' viewed the Future in this series.

It is one of the strangest comic book series that I have ever read, with views on aging, peace keeping, stealing the earth's water and other topics that are still talked about today.... the best thing for me was the usual Jack Kirby machinery, of which he was master of drawing !!

I personally rank Jack's Fantastic Four series, (with Stan Lee), as my favorite comic book run of all time, and it is so strange to see what Jack produced on his own after leaving Stan at Marvel.  I like several of the Kamandi, Silver Star, and Eternals issues, but this OMAC series is so weird that I don't know what to make of it after reading it all !

If you have not read this series, or missed a few issues, we have them listed in our eBay store and you can find them by clicking the photo of Jack at the top left corner!
