Who Wanted To Be A Super-Hero ? Feedback Did !

 Feedback

Is Coming Your Way In July !

Feedback , the new comic book written by Stan Lee hits the stands in July 2007 !

It is the long awaited comic book about the winner of the Sci-Fi Channel TV Show  'Who Wants To Be A Superhero?'.

The one-shot comic will be published by Dark Horse Comics and will have a $3.99 tag.

For retailers, now is the time to be placing orders with your distributor for this comic book. The buzz is that this upcoming comic book could be a good   'gamble' with a potential cash-in.

Since it is an 'independent comic,' (not one of the big two publishers Marvel or DC),  the initial print run will probably be a low number.

If it becomes sought after, due to the number of viewers that watched the first series, then it could be one of those 'Instant collectibles'.

The TV Show series ended with a promise that a comic book would be made, but the show premiered last July 27th, 2006.... wonder how long the mainstream public would remember this promise???

The series started last summer with  twelve contestants who were selected and then called to a meeting with Stan Lee. He explained in the way only Stan 'the Man' could, how  the competition would work and then it all began!

The contestants were Cell Phone Girl, Creature, Major Victory, The Iron Enforcer, Fat Momma, Feedback, Levity, Lemuria,  Monkey Woman, Rotiart, Nitro G and Tyveculus. All wanted to be the next great superhero produced by Stan Lee, but it was 'Feedback' that won the big prize! Believe or not, a second series of this show is in the works!!

For those interested in checking out other Stan Lee edited or written comics, we have several unslabbed and CGC graded comics listed in our eBay Featured Store and eBay Pro Store.

Thanks for viewing this pop culture / comic book blog post.... and feel free to post your comment below regarding the movie/comics!

USPS changes rates, so we're simplifying ours.

As you're probably aware, the US Postal Service recently changed rates and policies on several classes of mail.  As a result, many eBay sellers are scrambling to adapt, and eBay has not been able to assist in bulk editing seller listings!

We're keeping it simple:

We'll ship an unlimited number of non-CGC graded comics for just $4.99 (USA addresses only).

What does this mean to you?  The more you buy, the more you save on shipping because your shipping cost stays the same.  Buy one non-CGC graded comics - or buy ten - and you'll still pay only $4.99 for shipping to the US.

We are still revising all our listings to reflect this so if you see $2.98 per comic listing, don't be alarmed, we'll invoice you the correct amount!

Interested in CGC graded comics? We will ship one to two CGC graded comics in a Flat Rate Priority Box to USA addresses only for $9.99 !

We are still selling magazines, you'll see the shipping cost in each individual listing. We will combine shipping whenever possible.

Over the next few days, we'll be adding even more comics to our store - so you'll have plenty to choose from.

Have some fun!

Michael and Tina

' Greatest Hits '

Tina and I were watching Disc 7 of Season One last night, which had bonus material from that season.  We saw the program from the San Diego Comic Con, where the TV show was first previewed.  We both remembered getting to the big hall early and seeing up close the cast and the crew including JJ Abrams, knowing that something was up by all the buzz in the big hall (4,000 seats) before anyone even came on stage!  Great memory jogger on this DVD for us!

'Greatest Hits' was the theme on this past week's show... as written down on paper by Charlie during the whole show.

Desmond tells Charlie that he visioned that Claire and her baby get into a helicopter and leave the island, but Charlie has to die first!

This time Desmond believes that he will not interfere with his vision and allow Charlie to do what he must to ensure that the Claire and the baby leave the island, even though Charlie will perish in doing so.

The Greatest Hits were actually Charlie's 5 best moments in his life, and the five scenes that make the list gives more insight into Charlie's past with flashbacks!

As to the rest of the 'Lost' cast, they are surprised by a warning that the 'Others' are coming ahead of schedule, that night instead of the next morning when they would be more prepared to fend them off!

NEXT WEEK:  The Season Finale !

For those interested in TV shows like 'Lost', we have several Movie and TV based comic books in our eBay Featured Comic Book Store .  Just click on the link provided!

Thanks for viewing this pop culture blog post.... and feel free to post your comment below! This blog post is written for the 'mainstream' blog post reader as well as the pop culture collector, so some of this may be of a more general scope in nature!   Of course not everything is given away for those that have not seen the episode yet!

 Marvel Comics Stamps For Collectors:

Coming Your Way This Summer !

Amazing Spider-Man, Silver Surfer and More!

About The Silver Surfer Stamp:

A History of the Surfer !

New Upcoming Silver Surfer Stamp!

Site Meter

The Silver Surfer is currently being shown in movie teaser trailers as the next star 'villain' of the upcoming Fantastic Four Movie: 'Rise of the Silver Surfer'.

The Movie is coming YOUR way June 15th in theaters near you so mark your calendars!

For those that aren't familiar with the Surfer, he first appeared in the Fantastic Four Comic Books, issues #48 thru #50, in what is known as the 'Galactus Trilogy' in 1966.

According to the multiple stories around the creation of the Surfer, Stan Lee wrote a synopsis about the most powerful being ever in the Universe, (Galactus), coming to our Earth to consume it for its' energy!

Jack Kirby was the artist and co-plotter of that Trilogy. He thought that such a powerful being would have a herald, one who would search out planets for Galactus ahead of time before Galactus got hungry.  Jack came up with the idea of the Surfer, and Stan  added 'Silver' and wrote the dialogue of the Trilogy.

The Silver Surfer has proven so popular since Jack's creation that he has had three volumes of comic books, and will featured on two upcoming USPS postal stamps later this year! (See picture to left for close up of sample Silver Surfer stamp).

For those interested in checking out the Fantastic Four comics with or without the Silver Surfer, we have several unslabbed and CGC graded comics listed in our eBay Featured Store and eBay Pro Store.
